On Monday night at Stoke, Christian Eriksen created two of Tottenham’s four goals to move past David Silva and Riyad Mahrez in the Premier League assist table

Decent article. I actually think Eriksen is underrated even amongst our own fans. Wonderfully talented and creative player.

Plenty of food for thought especially for some Spurs fans.
He is often the first to break forward
and cuts of lines of supply rather than make tackles.
I love his innocent 'what? who me?' look.
.

Thing about Spurs today is
that you can't make first name on the team sheet choices
or who would you least like to lose selections
because we are a team interdependent
on the skills of each.

Nice to see him getting the recognition he deserves after being branded in the past as not living up to expectations. Me thinks that a player with that many international caps at such a young age ain't so bad!

Really good player, just a bit frustrating that he hasn't scored that many goals this season. Remember when he was scoring all of those last minute winners and awesome free kicks?!!

Great article. But just who is the most important player in our team ? You could name at least half of them, that is the key. Whatever happens I hope they all stay together for a number of years. COYS.

For a bit of fun, if you had a gun to your head and to choose the order of our first eleven, in order of players you'd least like to lose.. What would it be???

To help narrow it down, not worry about distant future, just next season.. So you don't need to take into consideration age etc.. Just immediate talent

Nothing against the last 4 players, just that we have decent back up for them...

Those two assists were about as good as I've ever seen in the PL. The only one up there as far as i recall is David D
Silva vs United

I don't know that he's actually under-rated. I think people are sometimes a bit disappointed when he doesn't produce something sublime or outrageous in a game, which is very different. I think the vast majority of Spurs fans know just how good he is.

I remember hearing the John White was under appreciated as he did things so simply, I think the same is true of Eriksen. He so rarely needs to do anything flash looking as his speed of thought allow him to play the correct pass before there is a need to make it difficult

For a player who is sometimes accused of not tracking back enough by the pundits, it is a surprised to see him running further than anyone game after game. That shows the vision under Poch. Erickson, Lamela and Kane do the "dirty work" up front; Dembele and Dier further back, thus allowing Alderweireld and Vertongen to have relatively clean hands, or rather clean feet.
