I guess the reality is kicking in that we are almost done with this season and no club football for 3 months. :(

Have to say I'm a big fan of this,

I think the key for me is that though it's a subtle nod; If you compare his choice of words to previous ways he has spoken regarding investment of the team, he would always caveat it with saying how investment in the playing squad is not indicitive of success. I think sometimes Levy's pragmatic nature of articulating his thoughts could go against him but because of that nature it really delights me in seeing this change in the way he talks about investment, as I say it's subtle but the way he writes makes me feel like he's onboard with understanding just how important player investment will be and that the January window really helped crystalise that for him.

I said 12 months ago when he made his previous statement that I wanted to see the steps being taken after that point, to basically put a line in the sand on previous errors and see if he would be true to his word. The summer was obviously an extremely rocky start (putting it mildly) however I am happy with the changes I have seen Levy make. He has trusted Paratici with overhauling the football side, he helped us land Conte. We have seen investment in future talents in the likes of Gil and Sarr which is great future planning, we have seen investment one world class talent in Romero and some first team ready players in Bentancur and Kulusevski who still have the potential to get to greater levels. We are seeing an overhaul of our scouting network, potentially the medical department.

I think the past 12 months have gone great, one of the best expressions I love for trying to head in the right direction is that you can't move a parked car, sometimes you just have to get moving and maybe initially you are heading wrong direction but once that's wheels are in motion you can course correct and get on the right path. I think that's happened with Levy.

Thanks Mr Levy for our great stadium, kindly give Mr Paratici a decent budget and don’t interfere with his negotiations.
