Chadli hasn't said it, but I've been dying to point out that our 3 goals against Fulham were all scored from about 2m from goal. We are getting men into the box, from set pieces and to attack crosses.
Early this season, when we led the league in shots and were scoring just over 0.5 goals per game, we simply could not get men into the box. Now we can.
It's a direct by-product of the re-organisation that has also exposed our defence by omitting the dedicated defensive midfielder.
If our back 4 had not been trashed by injuries and undermined by poor organisation and lack of communication, this would not matter so much. As things are, we have to try to outscore the opposition.
Infuriating thought it may be, it's better than spending 90 minutes watching us prowl around outside the opposition's penalty area, with 68% possession in a typical match, along with 18 shots and 0 goals. That was doing my head in. I'd rather watch the present slightly alarming mess and see us score 3 goals than watch that.
