Bent was great. 270 minutes in a week and he's looking sharper with every game, very impressive.

Bale also looks like he's coming back to match fitness/practise.

First time I've seen the lads this season and after a performance like that, well, its hard not to be just a little bit excited. Celtic are great, but they aren't weak either and we did well to beat them so comfortably.

Daws looked a little shaky in the first half--our defense in the midfield was unconvincing as well. But after Bent scored we took over and never let Celtic get into the match. Gomes was solid and BAE/Bale on the left was a real treat to watch. BAE just might turn out--I hope he does. Gil/BAE/Bale--pretty strong left side. Bent for MOTM, they couldn't handle him.

But we struggled against sides of that quality last year, we look a different team in more ways than one.

Another Berbatov sulkfest. I'll trade a few majestic touches, a whole lot of moaning and not much running for Dos Santos' industriousness any day.

You can be forgiven for being a touch more laid back than you already are in preseason, but when you still put 100% into moaning it doesn't exactly send out the right vibes.

I wouldn't say Berba was sulking, he was just his usual self, he always played like that since he joined the club.

I've been here all day. Are you telling me comments like 'The Puma kit makes our players look uncomfortable' aren't grating your nipples?

We've just beaten a Champions League side and didn't even get out of first gear.

The celtic midfield barely got a touch, yet some people say that Huddlestone and Jenas didn't control the midfield well enough and Modric had to do too much. WTF?
