Luis Campos would be open to joining Tottenham in a sporting director role to work with Jose Mourinho. The current Lille sporting director told Sky Sports News last month that joining up with his fellow Portuguese in his next job would be a no-brainer.

hmm...

I kinda think all bosses think this way...

blah blah blah is not just an employee, he is a friend.

he is nice to you because u pay him. he has to be nice to you. 90% of the people i know complain about their bosses. the other 10% either are the boss or at a point when they don't really care anymore. :ROFLMAO:

Sounds like things aren't all well with Campos and the Lille owner. Wonder if we could convince him to look our way? Though we have Hitchen as the DOF, can we afford to pass up the opportunity to hire Campos if he is on his way out from Lille?

Is this guy any good?? Do you all only want him because he's Jose's mate? I don't closely follow football outside the prem. Have Lille scouted/produced some amazing players recently? Are Lille a good team? If this guy is the bollocks, why is he working for Lille?

He's known for unearthing quality youth players. He had great success at Monaco where he signed Fabinho, Bernado Silva, Thomas Lemar, Benjamin Mendy, Kylian Mbappe. And then for Lille he signed Nicolas Pepe , Soumare, Ikone , Celik, Rafael Leao, Victor Osimhen. So between his scouting contacts and his general eye for signing talented players for low transfers, we would be silly not to consider bringing him in.

Thank you for the education

Hitchen is Technical Performance Director.

Birch was Director of Football Operations.

Watching tonight’s game made me realise how important the next 2 windows are. We require a rebuild and we must get it right.

Surely a recruiting a world renown DoF to pull the strings must be the MO moving forward.

Not only players “in” but shifting some of the dead wood (and there’s plenty) is pivotal at such an important time in our clubs history.

We could genuinely sell over half the squad from tonight and not bat an eyelid.

The likes of Sanchez, Doherty, Winks are all surely sellable assets which we wouldn’t overly miss?

I do think Dele is a gonner. All about making sure there’s money coming in before we can spend.

And if I’m being honest, I wouldn’t be too disappointed to see him go.

No doubt there remains a player “in there” but we haven’t seen it for well over 2 years and there’s no visible signs his powers are returning anytime soon.

Sell to fund a rebuild. Interesting how similar in character and position, both Dele and Lingard have fallen off the face of the footballing planet.
