Odd seeing some numbers for players who should go. Lloris still number 1, Reguilon 3, Hojbjerg 5 and Sanchez 6 could all be sold. We could have some strange numbers in the first team this season.
shows respect and or knowing Daniel, a negotiating tactic. "We are happy to keep them if your bid isn't higher."

A big ask for a match day thread, but in honor of a new era and a new season do you think we can focus on the positives of the players selected today, instead of who wasn’t selected?

it won’t be the line up I would have selected, and it probably won’t be the line up you would have selected, but it will be the lineup that Ange selects. Let’s get behind that team for today!

It’s a long season, everyone will get a chance to show what they can do - even if they don’t start today.

COYS!

Agreed. We should be supporting whoever is picked every single match.

I use to think you had a couple of loose screws but clearly with such a great post, I think you’ve found the screw driver!
I can’t agree with you more mate but unfortunately, emotions are a beast especially when it comes to Spurs.
I personally think it’s a coping mechanism for some on here. They prepare themselves for the worse and get a high when we win.
Enjoy the first game of a new era and I hope that we kick on and get the club back up the top of the table where we belong.

COYS!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We might lose today, so prepare yourself. Thomas Frank is an astute coach, who sets his team up to nullify the opposition. Ange even warned us the start could be bumpy. I pray we win big, but this is a tough challenge.

100% this. Brentford away is a tough ask, just down to the way they play. Not used to a high line? Just see what happened to Villa yesterday with some new players who weren’t aligned with the style of play.

I’ve watched more matches at home the past two-three years than I have the previous 15. I’m so excited for today, I have my kit ready to go, walking the dogs with their spurs collars. I don’t care if we lose I’m just looking forward to positive football! Heading to the pub for this one.

I've not really paid much mind to spurs or football in general over the past few years but I'm buzzing for this coming season. It's quite nice to have such low expectations and to have what feels like a clean slate. I loved Harry but with him and (eventually) Hugo leaving and with Ange coming in, it really does feel like a new era. Almost feels like the start of the Jol era.

I just want to see positive and energetic football again... players who are enjoying playing together... and a connection between the gaffer, squad and fans.

I know it's going to take time before we click... but it's been a long time since I felt this positive about the atmosphere at the club.

We might lose today... or have a bumpy start... but it's all going to be fine and we will get our Spurs back under Ange... 100%... COYS 👏
