Adebayor 17 goals and 13 assists, insane we had a striker of that quality last season
Absolutely, he played for a contract last season. I wonder if we should sell him and loan him back next season (n)

Klinsmann, Van der Vaart and Berbatov are the obvious ones

Modric took months to settle when we bought him
The trouble Modric had early on was being played too deep. Harry got the best out of him by moving him further forward and giving him a bit more freedom to play his game.

Im sorry I dont buy that shit, at all and if anything evidence shows he plays shitter when he isnt being loved than when he is looking for this so called contract and this contract, what exactly did he get because he didnt get a increase in wages?

He got a contract, something Real Madrid wouldn't give him and Man City had frozen him out so his future was uncertain.

He played well for Madrid because Mourinho wanted and put a Arm around him, he played well for Mancini before their fallout and he played well for Arsenal before he started getting stick from the crowd about the AC quotes

So unless everyone around him constantly sucks on his testicals, he's useless? Hardly a great argument in his favour really.

I just want last season's Ade back - or even 75% of that player and we're golden. Not too much to ask for is it?

He has a shit attitude. If he isn't guaranteed first team football his head drops. He isn't willing to fight for his place.

What excuse does he have for disappearing for his country?

I take it you hear about him having to stay with his teammates who got stranded by their FA in South Africa and werent allowed to fly back when they tried on SUNDAY. Then for four days they were left in South Africa despite the country President calling them for a meeting on that Sunday. Then apparently Adebayor paid for a private jet to Paris on Thursday to allow the players to go back to all their clubs and so they werent stranded in South Africa as he felt his job as captain meant he had a commitment to his teammates.

Of course you can believe this bollocks that he just was just pissing off spurs fans because he is a money hungry whore:rolleyes:

The praise Vertonghen gets is OTT in my opinion. Some (actually, make that quite a lot) of his defending is to me pretty shoddy at times.

In very recent times VDV sticks out as someone coming in and just firing from the off.
he had a good start and is finishing the season well... but he also poor run mid season.. although part of the reason could have been him moving to lb, a position hes not a fan of... he's a talent thought and i expect him to be better again next season..

In the happiest/saddest at the same time picture I have ever seen, both of these guys had/have had phenomenal debut seasons for us.

Lennon had one of the best debut seasons ever considering his transfer slipped under the radar somewhat
haha yeah. Our emergency option after Routledge got crocked and whoever else we had as cover was out.

Steo up 17yr old fearless Aaron Lennon - the prem didn't know what was going on.

Garth Crooks (22) & Steve Archibald (25) 1980 -1981 - either individually or a as partnership.

That was the season Arse signed Chapman & Woodcock- had a bet that our guys would outscore them - won by xmas!

Gerorghe Popescu.

What a defender/midfielder, I only wish he could have stayed. He but fecked off to barca after a year though. Who can blame him? Didn't he score against the scum as well? I think he scored a winner against them, not sure though.

Cultured, elegant defender, very much like Jan. I remember when we where shipping loads of goals while Ossie was still manager then Gerry Francis came in and played him in CM and we all of a sudden learnt how to keep a clean sheet.

What a year that was, we actually had a few good players then, Ossie's 5 man attack', Klinsmann, Sheringham, Anderton, Barmby. Dumitrescu as well as Popescu and Mabbutt. Cant remember who else.

Ahhh, those where the days.......

I just hope Verts doesn't mirror him and get picked off by one of the euro giants.
