The young felah definitely looks a great prospect, superb passing and a toughness about him.
My only reservation is that the first four letters of his name spell out B.E.N.T. and I recall two recent Spurs players whose names started the same way LOL.
No, seriously he looks the real deal. A cross between the Zizou and Vieira styles would make a lovely all round combo.

He looks an intelligent player. I noticed that he always appears to be looking to play a penetrative pass whenever possible, but doesn't try the impossible 'Hollywood' pass, high percentage into dangerous areas.
The other thing I noticed was that the commentator spoke far more sense that Trevor Francis......
Couldn't understand a word he said mind.

Impressive start to his spurs career. looks a confident young chap who is looking for the ball and seems confident and composed on ball. Always looking to pass and keep the ball moving, and happy to play 1 touch passing which is a great asset, esp in our midfield.
I'd like to see him burst forward a little more - with and without the ball, as its evident from this clip that once he's played the ball, he seems a little reluctant to vacate the area he's in and burst forward into space, or past the forwards, to take the ball. he definitely has the composure and passing ability to pick the ball up in advanced area's and if he can add a little more forward drive to his game i think we'll have a real winner here.

What I really liked about that video was that he never tried the Hollywood pass, almost every single pass was played with the right weight and along the ground. Definitely a great prospect as he seems to have the lot, great shot, eye for a good pass, strength (which will increase) and ability to take his man on.

his heat map would be a perfect circle LOL he seems to stick in that center area...incredibly disciplined for such a young player and gives us good shape in the middle...I can see why Tim likes him

Has anyone seen more of him in the under 21's or anywhere? is he deep lying carrick type, or does he have the ability to burst into the box and pick up some goals as well.
A 19 year old pretty much dominated centre mid that game. That was a class performance. Always wanting the ball and having the vision and knowhow when to change the tempo. Reminded me slightly of Carroll last year, when ever he played he always wanted the ball and was technically good enough to use it effectively.
Could be potentially a world class player. Xavi-esc at times.

Things I like about him.......
- has adapted to pace of PL immediately. His decision making is quick and decisive. He knows what he's doing with the ball before it comes to him, unless options are limited.
- again with the decision making he seems to have a good sense of when to retain possession, and when to try more offensive passes
- his first touch looks good, which helps him create that bit of space and time to find the pass
- he weights his passes very well
- he is quick. The vid above shows one great counter attack where he bursts through the middle
- he is wiry and relatively strong. Can hold people off the ball and shield it quite well
- he has that little nasty streak/competitive side to him. The stamp on Monreal's hand was pretty funny if a bit stupid. I also like in that vid when he gets fouled/hit on the face. The player checks on him and apologises, but Bentelab just jumps up and completely ignores him before trotting away. I like that kind of mentality.
