Everton are prepared to sell Ben Godfrey to Tottenham in January if a bid is submitted. Spurs are in the market for a new centre-back in January after losing both Eric Dier and Micky van de Ven to injury in recent weeks.

There are, but would they come to us as a backup? Thing with Godfrey is he can play right across the back line so could probably get a decent amount of games.

Average defender. Poor on the ball. No thanks. For anyone saying no one would come in to play back up, Romero will regularly be suspended and VdV will need to be slowly reintegrated to avoid a repeat injury.
