I'm excited by Ramos, I reckon he will genuinely start from a blank canvas, this means the like of KPB, Taarabt, Dervitte and Routledge have a chance of being in the 16 on match day.
Players lacking pace and or stamina, are probably in a bit of bother.
I can see Ramos converting Kaboul into a towering powerhouse of a midfielder that he seems to like, anyone else see that?
Now if he signed Poulson aswell we could get a midfield of this:
Lennon.....Kaboul.....Poulson.....Bale
Naturally width with a proper left footer on the left and two double hard bastards in the middle, I could defo see this midfield line.
If he can guide us to 17th place in the Lge and winning the League Cup, i'll be deliriously happy. we are in a massive relegation battle and I can't see an early escape from it.
Was just reading another article on the daily mail's site about Ramos, did you know when he was manager of Real Betis he busted members of his team for having a halloween party, players supposedly were so scared of being caught by him they escaped through windows, I can just imagine this tonight after the game he busts Defoe, Lennon and Huddlestone trying to escape from Darren Bent's Halloween party with bags of goodies.
Also in one game with Sevilla, they were winning 2-0 and cruising, but he thought his players were just coasting and not really trying and instead settling for the result instead of trying to drive it home. He got so angry that he made a number of changes bringing off certain players he deemed weren't putting in an acceptable amount of effort. The result was that they played the rest of the game with 10 men because he didn't have enough players who he thought were playing as he wanted.
So no more slacking and trying to settle for a one goal lead now, cos if they do we will end up with no players left on the pitch.
So no change there, then.
Seriously? You think so? I think we'll be in the top half by January. We aren't going to be anywhere near a relegation battle come the end of the season. We have 27 games left!
Tottenham fans should not expect an immediate turn-around, warns Hunter.
"He has been made out to be a superman but he is not," he said. "He inherited a good club at Sevilla, with an excellent defence, and was able to take them forward from there.
"While not taking anything away from his success, I don't like the way Ramos is being painted as some kind of five-star superman."
