Mario Balotelli's agent has revealed that he would be prepared to take the striker away from Manchester City if he thought he was being persecuted.

Ballotelli is facing a four-match ban after being hit with a Football Association charge of violent conduct following an apparent stamp on Tottenham's Scott Parker in Sunday's 3-2 win.

And the Italian's agent, Mino Raiola, feels that there is a conspiracy against the forward.

He told Italian radio station Radio Radio: "Mario can't be banned for four games.

"He wasn't balanced and there was also a push from Modric.

Something strange

"It is not an intentional foul because Mario doesn't want to hurt anyone, he didn't see Parker, that's all.

"I want to be balanced but I'm worried because when English players are involved in more serious things, nothing happens, whereas when foreigners are involved, such as Balotelli or Kompany, they were treated harder.

"If I find that there is something strange against Balotelli, my duty is to protect and then take him away.

"In this case I would speak with City, I'd ask them Balotelli's price and would look for the best team for him, as there are only six or seven teams he can play for.

"I talked to Mario who said he is happy to stay in England, but he does not understand certain things and they sadden him."

Banned for life

Raiola also launched a scathing attack on referee Howard Webb, accusing him of lying to protect his own reputation.

He added: "The referee saw everything, because he spoke to Mario after the action.

"So in my opinion, this referee must be banned for life because he didn't tell the truth.

"The TV images show that he is really close to the action, how can he say he didn't see it?

"What was he doing? He says he didn't see it, only to defend himself."

 You must be having me on... I would love to sit down with him and just ask him to explain himself.

Maybe he should tell his client to stop being such a flash git, and get on with the game of football. Idiot.

David Platt really fucking annoys me as well.

They got lucky big time, just don't want to admit it.

I fucking pray to God they don't buy the League. I refuse to use the word 'win'...

I see they haven't included his criticism of Harry that was included in the video interview.Apparently it was Harry's complaint that got his client banned.

Sounds like he is trying to engineer a move away from Citeh for his client which obviously net him another handsome pay-day.

If mario was english he would have got off with that, Lescott's was worse in my opinion. Mario at one angle looked unbalanced, and another looked like it was a stamp.

It has nothing to do with him being foreign, it's because he's known to be a fucking nutcase - which I found funny until Sunday.

there is certainly an FA bias against non-English players

Rooney ban reduced

Lampard and Glen Johnson not banned

Something not right

How anybody can not see that is a clear stamp, well I find it astounding.

He was unbalanced and you certainly don't move your leg unnaturally like that...with that force and speed in an attempt to regain your balance. He then does a little dive to try and cover up the stamp...

I find the defence from some (not you mate) utterly pathetic.

Furthermore Scott Parker is lucky that he hasn't suffered any serious damage from that. There was real force in that stamp.

I mentioned this on another thread earlier, I'm glad it's not just me who sees it like this. Though it doesn't seem to be benefiting average English players, rather those who are England internationals. One's who the FA rely on as poster boys etc.

It does seem very fishy.

It is utter nonsense for anyone to suggest that Balotelli is being targeted because he is a foriegner! As a matter of fact, one must point out that one Joey Barton, who is also always in the thick of controversy himself, has a long history of suspensions as a result of his misdemeanors. And As Far As I Know, He Is ENGLISH !!!!!!!!!!!!

No one is being targeted here, he is going to get what he deserves and nothing more than what he deserves. His moronic attitude has always been a big issue, wherever he has been. Even in Italy with Internazzionale, he has caused grief to everyone and that includes his own fans !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They were up in arms against him and they forced his exile from the Italian Seria A. His behaviour was an issue which made the headlines week in week out. So, I have to say that his agent is only trying to make case in Balotelli's case, which is to put it mildly, is completely pathetic and full of utter garbage.

It's coming to something in this Country when you can't even stamp on a defenseless man's head whilst he's on the ground without facing this sort of discrimination.

Well if Balotelli and his agent don't like being reprimanded for assault they can just fuck off then...

Seconded....
...although some individual members of this forum would love it, simply love it, if super mario was in our team.
Still, no accounting for taste, I suppose.

Balotelli falls in that dubious, envious, guilty pleasure player category of the likes of 1Barton, Bellamy (I see a pattern here) who would add certain skill sets to the team dynamic but would destroy the changing room atmosphere.
