A real shame, I had really hoped for sone continuety but I don't think there was any other option.
I don't think avb was happy either, he didn't like the home fans, the media, rumours of falling outs with the board. I think he should stick to managing on the continent in future as this will suit him better.
Time to move on & quick, we are only 5 points off 4th with a massive fa cup tie in jan, there is time to get back the season many of us had written off.
As a side note, seeing as he was lucky we took a chance on him after he was sacked & embarrassed at chelsea I do hope the payout isn't too severe.
