The more I think about it the more gutted I am.. one step closer to that happy, beautiful day when someone asks me who I support and I can say: "Sorry, I don't follow football."

I dont understand why anyone would be unhappy with Capello.

He is a proven winner. Has won league titles everywhere he has been with a sprinkling of European cups to add into the mix.

He is a great manager and a legend in the game.

Are you basing it on what he done with England? you cant polish a turd. England currrently do not have the personell. He done the best he could with a poor bunch of players.

I would be very happy with him in charge. With Baldini as DOF and then throw in a spurs man as his assistant, maybe keep Freund or maybe someone like Ginola (who is doing his coaching badges) then it could be a winning formular.

I am all for it.

Aren't you the poster that has been complaining about dour football?

Capello has a proven track record but he is George Graham incarnate.

Correct decision.

Wasn't the right manager in the first place.

I dont know any Spurs fans that are sad hes gone.

I might enjoy watching us play again, its been a long time since I did.

I remember a mate of mine saying he thought AVB was very arrogant when he joined us. At the time I didn't think he was, he seemed a little bit scarred by the Chelsea experience and was just thankful for another opportunity. However, I think that arrogance had started to return. His blaming of the fans for not singing, his insistance on trying to play the same way despite the opposition and despite the failures etc.

I hope he takes some time out of the game. I'd hate for him to rush into another job and fail - ultimately that would ruin his career before he's even turned 40. He needs to take time and return to the continent.

I simply cannot believe what an incredibly stupid mistake has Levy just made. This is the type of mentality (or lack of) which will put us always behind Arsenal.

before shitting on the Capello idea look at his club record as a manager the guys a winner

Who alienated his England squad and would have the media climbing all over him from day one. His brand of football is hardly exciting too!

I think it's a poor decision, I just hope there's a good replacement in the pipeline because I hate the thought of a caretaker for the rest of the season!

I said that for a full week after the City game. I've not been on my facebook since before the match yesterday. Not until I know it's safe.

I liked AVB, he came across as a gentleman. I also think he was popular with the players. Klopp for me but it's really hard to guess at this stage.

Good luck AVB.
