I came across one of those dolly supports way back in the '70s and didn't know what it was until some 800 year old guy became excited about it and then told me what it was.
He said something along the line of "you'd sit your mother-in-law on it and throw battens at her" there was no aunt with the find but apparently it's very rare to find one.

I love the random clip this moves on to at the very end… Aunt Sally itself looks great. Anyone know the rules a bit better..? It looks to me that throwing over arm would be easier, but it may not be allowed.

So tonight saw the division E power houses plough (west hanney) take on the black horse (east hanney) in the much anticipated NWD.

Whilst winning one leg each before drawing the third. The plough overcame east Hanney in the beer leg sending the crowd home happy (pissed).

Fortunately west hanney has protected small village status. We also have the better pub. We also always win the tug of war at the Michaelmass fair every year.
