Must take the camera up there later. Heard the fire engines, but two-tones at 5 in the morning aren't exactly a novelty round here.

smells like insuarnce since they weren't going to "win" their big lottery payout
Really? They had reportedly been offered more than market value, so probably more than any insurance payout, then there's the loss of business on the interim that insurance may not cover. Seems like far too great a risk to me.

I thought this was going to be a thread about them doing really well.

Hope nobody was hurt, and that none of our fans have done the most stupid thing they could possibly do.

The whole purpose of business insurance is to cover for that loss of business. Key difference between property and business insurance.

We have been battling Archway for 12 years

In 2 months we would have won the appeal and Archway would have had no grounds for taking the case to the Supreme Court

Why would a Spurs fan do this now? Doesn't add up

Because if they were dumb enough to burn down a business in the first place, I don't think the timing factored much in their decision-making.

Firstly, whatever we think about them-it's potentially a horrible circumstance for them.

But, deciding that a Spurs fan has done this already, without evidence, is dangerous and will just end up as another trial by social media where Spurs as a whole Club will look awful. Again to clarify at this point; without evidence.

Plus, this would probably actually delay any proceedings for the stadium and could (not stating its the case) benefit them in regards to insurance and perhaps a host of other things....

Lets just not jump to conclusions basically....

But mostly lets hope no one, from Archway or others in the area, were harmed.

Agree. If arson then almost certainly the owners arranged it.

Yeah, they still own the premises, regardless of what has happened to it. This doesn't benefit the Club in the slightest. Hopefully the fire service can find an accidental cause, for everyone's sake.
