dont be silly man, they are one of the only things at england games that tries to generate atmosphere. lets face it, the atmosphere at england games, the new wembley inparticular is piss poor. ive been to every game there so far (apart from last night) to experience it. but it sounded its shit old self on the telly.
its not due to the band that the atmosphere is now shite, its due to the amount of corporates who swarm games at the new wembley and football in general. ive been told to 'shhh' on one occasion when trying just to have a sing along.

they dampen the atmosphere. football chants are at least a couple of octaves lower.. the band makes me feel like i'm in a prosession down the highstreet of an america town. I think of the scene from jaws when the Major is showing investors around amityville , or superman 3 when Richard prior gives a fake award (kryptonite hee hee) to superman.

They were a good addition to the already good atmosphere a few years ago, now it's just shit and overkilled.

for sure, the noise they make is so played out and straight dull.
i hate that we have to accept that pile of shit band for every single game...
honestly, it's probably the same bunch of dudes for years loving the minor fame
and having no intentions to stop there 'signature england sounds' im just sick of it
to me i get the feeling that mediocre shit really somes up england games and the team sometimes.
