If he’s available for £15 million at the end of the loan as was reported, it looks like a great deal.

4 goal contributions in 7 PL games / 422 minutes, all while our players are still figuring out how to make the most of his runs and movement, yet it seems most fans (or at least a very large minority) don't think he's worth keeping.
At £15m, I'd sooner sign him and release Gil on free transfer, rather than not sign him and keep Gil.
I get that some people would prefer that we sign a younger and/or "better" left-winger, but surely it would be financially viable to upgrade another attacking player (Solomon / Sessegnon / Lo Celso) on top of this. It really doesn't have to be instead of.
If Ange was to consider our attack to be good enough without another signing on top of Werner, then that would allow us to spend more in other areas, so I wouldn't have an issue with that either. Our current squad will improve together and any upgrades elsewhere in the team would only help our existing attacking players to thrive.
