● I don't think we'll become an established CL team. The odd season in here and there.

● playing personnel isn't our problem. We've always had good enough players, just never the organisation or mentalities to match.

● I'm falling out of love with Spurs and football because of the above.

I love Daws. Just seeing his face makes me smile, it's slightly worrying if i'm being honest.

I hate the majority of the shit songs our fans come up with for players.

Naughton is a decent enough RB for our squad. We're THFC.

Soldado was one of my favourite strikers but I don't think he'll make it here.

Jenas was actually pretty good.

I don't think I'll ever see spurs win the league in my lifetime.

I think quite a few of our players are pussies, though good footballers.

Paxton is fucking gash.

I've joined this thread late so it may already have been said...
- I don't want Dawson to leave. Without him our team is soul-less.

Soldado and Paulinho will be sold before the end of the window for roughly what we paid for them.

Capoue will remain peripheral before going out on loan in January.

Chiriches will become a fixture in our reserve team.

Lamela will be used sporadically and remain frustrating. A series of loans outside the Premiership will follow. We will never recoup our outlay.

Chadli will play fairly regularly, but a vocal portion of the fans will continue to question why.

We will get another two years out of Eriksen, before selling him for a handsome profit.

I hope these predictions are mostly wrong, but it is just the feeling I have in my gut. Maybe I have been a Spurs fan too long...

Our football under redknapp was generally dull with the exception of some stand out performances.

The reason we didn't invest in the January of our title challenging season* is because Harry couldn't identify realistic targets, not because levy wasn't prepared to splash the cash. Suarez was available, Harry wanted Tevez

I miss Modric more than Bale and pundits who say 'but he doesn't score enough goals' illustrates perfectly the archaic footballing culture that plagues the English game.

Capoue is our best central midfielder.

Vertongen's ability with the ball makes people believe he is a better defender than he actually is.

Ade's 'pressing' drives me nuts. What is the fucking point chasing the ball all the way to the goal keeper, knowing full well your not going to get it and that no one is pressing with you. Goal keeper boots it up field, the opponents defense are on the half way line and Ade is left knackered, strolling back in an offside position...

The only thing that has been missing since Enic took over is having the right manager. We now have that man.

*not in a million years were we going to win the title that year. We weren't even close

Part of the reason we were boring at times under Redknapp was actually because of Modric. Amazing player and I agree with you on his importance to us. BUT he was never direct enough and never committed himself to attacks. He often played with a DM and neither would get forward and commit to the box. We had no attacking runs from midfield and it made us predictable. Good sides have midfielders who are willing to make attacking runs from deep. Henderson did it brilliantly for Liverpool this year, Ramsey for Arsenal, Toure and Fernandinho for City. Chelsea are the exception as they prefer a solid base and rely on an exceptional forward line to create chances for themselves, something AVB tried to mirror and failed seeing as we don't have a world class forward line.

It was the biggest problem we had under Redknapp. Not trying to slate Modders, one of my favourite ever players.

The Champions League isn't all that and any Spurs fan who thinks it is deserves a slap
True enough, but it is a necessary stepping stone if you want to be crowned winners of your domestic league (Liverpool going as close as they did from 7th extremely unlikely to be repeated)

Without it, doubt we'll ever get within 10 points of winning the League.

Even when Ade does that pressing he gets labelled as lazy and uninterested, imagine the stick he'd get if he just stood around!

Never understood the hatred towards Ade (I guess it's the same 'fans' that couldn't accept Gallas in the team), he offers so much more than just goals and literally anyone that understands football in the slightest way can see this. This is especially evident since we've lost the link between the strikers/midfield that we had with VDV.

I don't hate Ade mate, far from it and agree that he has a superb all round game. I just find him chasing the ball from the left back, to the centre back, to the goal keeper (when he never looks like getting it) completely pointless and rather frustrating. Never thought i would complain about Ade working too hard! o_O

I know where your coming from mate and agree that we lacked a midfielder running from deep but I can't agree that we were dull because of Luka.

I think our biggest problem under Redknapp (one that is still evident since he left) was/is our lack of movement. Under Redknapp we relied on counter attacking and individual brilliance. When a team sat deep we looked clueless. I appreciate it is not easy to break down teams who show such a lack of ambition but teams employ the same tactics at Arsenal and Liverpool (under Rodgers) but still end up on the back of a hiding. Both these teams have superb movement, giving multiple options to the man with the ball and allowing him to move the ball quickly increasing the tempo of their passing.

We don't and I often feel sorry for our players when they have the ball. They have no options to play progressive passes because no one is moving or giving an option. They therefore go backwards and sideways or play a pass which is simply not on and end up giving the ball away. This of course is met with groans from the White Hart Lane faithful, when really the man with the ball has little alternative.

The thing that impressed me most from Poch's time with Southampton was how good their off the ball movement was and also how quickly it was implemented with no signings. I honestly can't wait to see us under him next season and think we will get the kind of football we have been craving years.

I want us to release Kaboul.

He has continued to demonstrate that he just turns off and lets players wonder off from him. He has always had this problem but he used to have the agility and speed to sometimes get back into position. This brings out the optimistic members of spurs that expect to see the pre-injury kaboul, but he would still let people walk off him even if he was fit and that's the main problem.

Two other things are his total lack of communication. Doesn't tell people about other players and has little to no idea what is going on around him. To get the best out of him you need a partner that will non stop talk and direct him each game, ala king or Dawson. He played alongside verts in pre-season before his injury and they were dreadful. We looked like a colander at the back.

We will never win the Premier League and our fans should stop expecting to be there or thereabouts.

We were dull because we didn't have runners from deep. Wingers had no space to run in to. Forwards crowded out. Needs midfield runners. Luka rarely made those runs. Parker, Hudd or Sandro shouldn't have had to do it. Arsenal when Wilshere and Ramsey got injured showed the same problems. Lennon, Bale, VDV, Adebayor had great movement between them as a front line, it wasn't them. You could have argued having a more threatening player than Lennon though could have offset having two indirect CM's

Lennon is no longer a winger/amf. He is a right sided midfielder and people need to wise up and stop thinking otherwise/slating him for not being what he used to be.

I dislike the majority of fellow spurs fans

I don't rate Sandro very highly

Bentaleb is a better player than Capoue

Daniel Levy is a good chairman

The fans disgraced themselves with their treatment of Sherwood

I wish Ambramovich had bought us sometimes
