That trailer actually gave me goosebumps!
It's going to be a fascinating watch... If I actually get to watch it because I don't have fucking amazon!

Looks great though I struggle to hear what some of the players are saying at times...

Is that just me?

The key to these type of documentaries is how the editor puts it all together. There is a monotony to football life and is not as glamorous behind the scenes as it appears. It is a job to those in the game and it can be like a normal job on a daily basis. The players are highly paid of course, but I know players who hate the game. Can't wait to leave training when it is over. Can't wait until their careers are over. It is a payday to them. Sad but true.

The editor can frame the narrative positively or negatively. I know which way I am leaning.

I think it's safe to say it's more than potential, given the absolute shitshow of this season.

Wasn't really that bad in the end - we had a really strong finish, post lockdown.

We've got short memories if finishing 6th is a 'shit show' - especially considering just how obviously it looked like it was coming, well before the start of the season.

It's going to make good viewing because it will build as follows:
- "Spurs finished 4th and hope to build on a historic CL final"
- "Record signings come in"
- "Struggling to recover from the disappointment"
- "Pochettino sacked"
- "Very strong start"
- "Dip in form"
- "Out of the cups"
- "Coronovirus"
- "Very strong finish"

It's just about perfect from Amazon's point of view. Imagine how boring it would be watching Liverpool's season were they just win every game, sign no one, and (despite their fans celebrations) basically had the league sewn up half way through. Great for fans, but I bet it would be boring to try and weave into a gripping series. People would stop watching.

I agree and I wasn't suggesting sixth in and of itself is a shitshow. But personally I think this season has been awful for us, despite the strong finish. We lost our manager, we had an injury crisis unprecedented even for Spurs, including Kane rupturing his hamstring, the pandemic has left us financially weakened for the summer (obv we aren't alone), our record signing has serious issues, Mourinho has polarised the fanbase, we got absolutely dicked by Bayern, Dier wading into the crowd, the Eriksen saga, Sess hasn't settled in, Gedson looks like a bizarre loan.... yeah not a lot of high points.

I think we've salvaged it well, and I feel positive about next season, but this season was a write off.

It'll make a fantastic documentary, I agree.

From a documentary POV, there was the Son GOTS and the typically "would never happen in real life" twist that COVID-19 was the best thing to happen to our season - it delayed until Kane, Sissoko, Bergwijn etc were all fit and we then were on pretty top form. Tanganga coming through was also a high point, as was Dier's resurgence at CB.

Sure, it's all good drama. But for me the season had way more lows than highs.

Poch totally airbrushed out of what is made to look like a Mourinho doco rather than spurs. Will obviously still watch it. Goes without saying that all my mates who support other clubs are giddy with excitement for the sledging potential...
