Something that was mentioned on 606, but why were the referees standing in the guard of honour for him?

I know we joke about that he influence on the ref's and stuff, surely this was completely inappropriate? Especially with the change in mind of the penalty decision during the game.

Patrick Barclay did a guest lecture at our Uni last week and was talking about Ferguson. Barclay was planning a Ferguson biography and flew to Milan to get an interview from Mourinho. Half way through the chat Jose receives a text and it's Fergie telling Jose to stop talking to Barclay and basically send him on his way.

Apparently this was the case with Bruce, Wenger and a few others who were approached to be interviewed too.

Basically what Fergie says goes amongst managers

Respecting one of the greatest managers in the game who has ever lived, after 25 years of service for the greatest club in the country?

Completely inappropriate.

I don't see how there is any link between giving the man a standing ovation and showing bias towards his team. Maybe that's just me?
