What do you know about the Korean lad which makes him such an apparent 'dud' in your eyes by comparison to Bastoni (genuine question)?
I think it’s more along thoughtline that Bastoni is a left footed ball playing centre back.

So how is the right-footed footed Korean lad (and also Bremer another one linked with us) seen as an alternative as they are completely different players.

Alternatives would be likes of Torres, Botman and the one who’s name begins with Gv that has completely gone outta my head.

Youd think sports journalists would actually be researched on what they are saying tbh lol.

Same as one I saw where they said if we didn’t get Eriksen we’d be pushing for Bissouma - they’re completely different players?!?!?

As someone who hadn't heard of Bastoni until recently I have to depend on what I hear from sources, the same ones who spoke about Romero, and they are all very positive.

To the "what if he is another Ndombele" I would answer, as others have, this is always the risk. But, the risk is less here as the manager who wants him won't be sacked, he has worked with the manager and his system already, attitude as well as potential appears to be part of the scouting process as well as the fact he is an international, etc.

Prioritising this purchase over a midfield upgrade (I do feel there will clearly be another midfielder brought in rather than being an either/or situation) also makes a great deal of sense. First off because it is what Antonio wants but also because if we have a group of quality, well drilled defenders we will take that end of season defensive form and be able to maintain it when there are injuries.

With another ball playing CB and better wing backs we will be better against the low block that have stymied us in some games this year. It is easier to defend deep against Kane/Son/Deki if you know that there is little risk coming from the wings.

If nothing else, how exciting is it to see us buying (touch wood) a second top, young, international, CB talent in less than a year!

Don’t forget Conte has managed Bastoni so knows exactly what he’s letting himself in for and prepared to pay the big bucks. Different altogether from Ndombele IMO, who’s personality and application wasn’t as well scouted as you would want for a big money transfer.

My Chelsea supporting friend reckons they will push for Bastoni with a swap deal for Lukaku.

Not sure on that as I thought Inter are desperate for finances? Either way, this one is going to drag on for another few weeks yet I think.

We've had itk today to suggest that Spurs are going very aggressively for this signing now, precisely because they don't want this to drag on for weeks.

Your mate may be having a lend of you.

Bastoni doesn't really to want to leave inter, but talk is he is happy to play for Conte, if he has to leave.

Chelsea don't have Conte and obviously are not inter.

Don't think it makes too much sense as Chelsea would probably want a player + cash, which means Inter still need to sell another big player, namely Lautaro, if they do want that surplus at the end of the window

not as LCB - at least as I understand it.

I think Bremer is still a target for them - just not for LCB
Yeah sorry, I know Bremer is not a lcb, but I was talking about Bremer their main defensive target.

How many signings can they make with the money we are presumably giving them ?

Think this is the article it's taken from:

And before you google rapprochement - it's "an establishment or resumption of harmonious relations"

“Inter takes and sells champions, now it sells Bastoni,” he told Calciomercato.it.

“In the last few hours, there has been a rapprochement between Bastoni and Tottenham, and Inter is already preparing itself by targeting Feyenoord defender Marcos Senesi.”
