So that's basically confirmation that Chelsea have screwed us for the second successive summer with Lukaku.

If Lautaro is on the market I'd certainly hope we'd push very hard for him. We'd have 4 ridiculous options in attack, 5 if you bring Eriksen back. Atletico, Chelsea and PSG is major competition though!

As for De Vrij I could definitely see Conte wanting him as the Rodon/Sanchez replacement.

I hope all the key players dig their heels in and refuse to move now leaving them in a bit of a mess.

But again, that doesn't work for Inter right?
Doesn't work much for Chelsea either. They need to bring in money through sales to fund a pretty major overhaul of their squad - so I don't see them giving away one of their most valuable assets for free.

We have had ITK that Bastoni told Conte he wanted to come. IF it was Bastoni that changed his mind it calls into question a bit of his integrity imho.
I wonder if anyone actually was in that discussion between Conte and Bastoni to really know how that went.

And can anyone blame a 23 yo Bastoni that he would be flawed to hear all these positive things by Conte and is maybe not really able to have a level headed discussion?

Who knows, maybe he went home proud told his family he will go to London and they talked him out of it or gave him another view?

Could we be back in? This is from an Inter fan on twitter. Sure he's a no mark but I'm chosing to believe him.
I've always said Bastoni is class.

His grasp of the English language is aligned with someone supporting the Bin Dippers - and apologies in advance if he is indeed Italian as his English is infinitely better than my Italian (bases covered I hope ? God forbid I offend anyone unintentionally)
Seriously tho - Dybala talks ongoing, the Lukaku deal not stacking up financially even if they swap Martinez - they still have to sell someone, something isn't stacking up financially. Not buying Skrinrar to PSG - they are getting rid of Leandro and Poch so why would they make that decision now......I'm not saying he's gonna sign, but something isn't smelling right

Still keeps coming back to the (fairly widely quoted) need for inter to make 50-odd in profit. By the end of the month.
Do I think we get bastoni - probably not. But is it 100% off? Till they get 60-odd in sales, not for me regardless of what agents / etc say

Mildly disappointed since that is seemingly Conte's #1 target. At the same time, there are several solid options out there. I'm choosing to look at the glass as 7/8ths full and ignoring the missing 1/8th. In AC and FP we trust and to a lesser extent DL.

Remember with communications that everyone has an angle and they’re trying to strengthen their position.

Selling clubs want a better deal or more money.
Buying clubs want a better deal.
Agents want more money.
Journalists want more clicks.

Don’t trust any of them.
