He looked to be not too keen to go on long runs at the end and walking a bit tenderly, might need a rest on the bench for a game or two when he gets back before he's back up to full speed.

If they lose to Jordan he may still be back in time for Brighton (if you're one of those willing them to lose).

He's far enough in now that he's going to be knackered when he gets back either way. So another few days and another game missed for us is probably about the same as us rushing him back.

Don't they have a third place playoff so a game no matter what the result in the semi?

Like Lloris for example. I was so pleased for him, and ultimately it's the only thing he won during his tenure with us.
Was just about to say the same.
Plenty were happy for Hugo and Romero but because this and the Afcon happen during the season, it seems to change people's views.

Yes, I too would be happier if our players didn't go off mid-season but that's the way it is, and I'm not going to begrudge them a shot at a big tournament, nor wish for their teams to get knocked out early.
Personally, I want them all to win every game and every cup, with us or internationally.

Didn't see the Japan game. Was it more shitty keeping that cost them?

Sonny and SK have a real chance now.

Can’t see them losing to Jordan, I didn’t even know she played football.

Im still confused how they got this far, they really are terrible
Sometimes it's just your year or has that feeling and I bet they're feeling that way.

Portugal hardly pulled up any trees in their Euros win. Only won once in 90 minutes in the knockouts (semi v Wales). And actually they drew all 3 of their group games.

You don't have to be the best in these tournaments, just luck and grinding out results is enough. The fans and players won't care how they do it as long as they do.
