Academy players sex abuse - Paul Stewart speaks out

Paul Stewart has announced that he was sexually abused up until aged 15 by one of his coaches. PFA say that a dozen or so more footballers may come out with other allegations. Awful and very sad.

Three players have now come out and spoken about being abused by their coaches. David white is the latest. Reckon this could get pretty big.

This could be absolutely huge.

Undoubtedly true. Even in my hometown in the States, there have been several cases of coaches engaging with their swimmers (older teens though). This wasn't illegal, but a top notch coach at the top uni team in the country was busted for banging some of his swimmers. It's almost surprising that you don't see more stuff coming out in those sports, considering the intimacy of those more individual sports and the fact that the athletes themselves tend to develop fantastic bodies (female swimmers were just unreal, speaking from experience, as practiced were difficult to get through for a 16-17 year old boy surrounded by that).
