The games start on February 4 in the winter paradise that is Beijing. The snow will be fake but the smog is not.

The bad news that came out last night is the NHL has decided not to release it's players for the men's hockey tournament as expected due to COVID issues.

I love the winter olympics - moreso than the normal olympics... Bobsleigh is amazing, Luge is wicked, the ice skating racing thing is great and i love the ice skating

Alpine skiing is great and the ski jump

And then there's curling and ice dancing so you've got time to get stuff done around the house.

Covid is absolutely ravaging the Scandinavian countries' athletes, there have been some positive tests on one of the chartered planes.

So that's fun.

Your loss ? Theres some really cool events on in the winter games
I love snowboarding but they have that Ed Leigh twat commentating on it.

Bobsleigh is good.

TBF the whole Beijing, fake snow shit bugs me. It should never have been awarded it.

Up there with hosting a World Cup in Qatar for me. Worse if you consider the Uighur concentration camps.

What's he in?
He is in a university choir, part of one the ceremonies I believe.
(My earlier post may have been a little misleading, but I don’t imagine I will ever be able to make a similar statement again)

Love how you can just get engrossed in some sport you’d never dream of watching. The setting for the cross country is a bit epic under lights with the sunset over mountains in background.

Chinese sure know how to put on a show. Spectacular opening ceremony.

SARS & Covid will always live fondly in the memory bank :cautious:

Edit: would I be right in hoping this is all available via red button? (If not, where can it be watched, please?)
