Nuneaton, I check their scores every now and then to see how they are doing. Also Livingston, just because they are just down the road.

Is there a Spurs equivalent in Serie A. Been thinking of watching it for a while. Or any other leagues to watch for relaxing, cuz PL aint it

At the back of last season I said I'm not spending a penny at Spurs anymore I'll invest it into the lower leagues. Moving to Cornwall next year so decided to start following Exeter City

I'd say Fiorentina.

Two league titles. One in the 1950s and one in the 1960s.

More successful in the Cups though, with six cup wins.

Although only one trophy this millennium.

Did get to one European Cup final.

But got beat.

A team renowned for its great players.

But not a team who have had as much success as the really big teams.

They're my Serie A team, although I've only seen them live once.

Stefano Rebonato equalised against the hated Juventus for a 1-1 draw.

Absolute limbs.

Edit: One other thing. One of their nicknames is i Gigliati or 'The Lilies'. Not Lilywhite, but close enough.

Ive always had a soft spot for Wigan, when they beat Manchester city in the fa cup final was the best result in a cup final ive ever experienced. Back when i had feelings.

Wimbledon (nearest team, and therefore Palace to an extent too, I have a lot of mates of each)
Swansea (where I went to uni)
Bordeaux (spent a year there and went to most home games)

Spurs are my first team because I didn’t have a choice! Great granddad had a leather shop on Tottenham high road (circa 1901) and made/repaired the footballs for Spurs, Granddad got an original share of the club (1 of 10,000), which handed down to my dad and then me and bro. Which works out at 500 each.

Born in Tottenham but lived in Bournemouth for most of my life, watched them from the late 60s through to the late 80s in the lower divisions. So they have always been my second team.

I was born in Luton, left when I was 6 months old to come to the jewel of Haringey, but I've always had a soft spot for Luton.
Lucky escape, if you’re under 35 my wife probably delivered you!
Watford for me, I was born in Watford General which is next door to Vic Road and had a couple of games there.
They used to invite local clubs down for a half time shoot out and I remember being in goal behind the Everton supporters at the age of 13, never been so nervous in all my life!
Bit too young to go to paradise lost to celebrate though!

Borussia Moenchengladbach (so doubly fuck Bayern) and Plymouth Argyle. I used to live in Germany in the mid to late 90’s as my dad was in the RAF, so always look out for them and watch them when I can on

Living in Cornwall, Plymouth are the closest team to me so naturally sort of follow them. Best home kit out this year if I don’t mind saying.

I suspect next season I’ll be following and watching Truro City a lot. Been gradually moving up the leagues and they will be moving back to Truro next year - currently play their home games at Torquay as finally they been giving the go ahead to develop an area of land with Penzance Pirates (Rugby Union) to ground share. Which is really exciting. I love Spurs, love going up to games with the old man, but I’ve become really disillusioned with top flight football and can see myself watching a lot of that.

Thats good to hear, been a bit of a shit show with them having to play home games in Torquay. Might have to start watching them again at their new ground

Juventus. Not a very popular club on these forums. In fact...in most places too.

Had no choice really. Italian family who are all die hard fans. My dad came over to the UK and got into Spurs and I don't think he'd ever consider me his son if I didn't follow his football teams. I follow them and support them still, but it's not as strong as Spurs since I was born and bred in the UK. Likewise, I support both Italy and England at international level.

When I was a kid one of my close friends was an Orient fan. His family were season ticket holders and took me to see them a lot. I saw them more times than I ever saw Spurs so they became a 2nd team for me in the UK.

Am I alone in having a secret second team?

I grew up in Barrow and started going to watch Barrow play with my Dad when I was about 7. Barrow were really poor so everyone had a First Division team they followed. I went to Blackpool on a day trip and saw Spurs play in August 1961 and Spurs became my second team.

I moved to London and Spurs became my main team - I’ve had a season ticket for getting on for 30 years.

But I’m still a member of the Barrow supporters’ trust, buy raffle tickets weekly and travel around the south of England to see them play (when there is no clash with Spurs).

My dream is for Barrow to play Spurs in the cup, score first then lose 2-1.

Anybody else have a second team?
No way! I used to watch Barrow too. I was a season ticket holder in the early 2000’s when Grant Holt was there. Spurs almost played Barrow in the FA cup in 2001 but Layton Orient sneaked past Barrow and then lost to Spurs the next round (Gary Doherty scored!)

a mi no me importa que vayas primero
yo lo sigo a Boca por que yo lo quiero
yo no soy amargo como las gashinas
por estos colores yo dejo la vida

Been a season ticket holder for twenty years now, hence my user name. From the days I dreamed he'd leave Boca and go to Tottenham. Still, my wife, who's a doctor, treated his dad on his death bed, so I ended up with a signed shirt for my treachery.
