Palace. My dad is a fan and used to take me to Selhurst Park as a kid, even after I picked Spurs (I've a school friend to blame for that particular ailment). 😆

I wouldn't say I support them, as such, but I definitely hope they do well against everyone apart from us. 🙏

Soft spot for Brighton as my local team growing up. Never any prospect of conflicting allegiances when we play them of course.

No real '2nd team' always Spurs but soft spots for the below for various family and other reasons:
  • Woking
  • Everton
  • Bayern Munich (not because Kane has just gone there lol)
  • AC Milan

Oxford United. My dad is from Oxfordshire and Mum from Chingford, so a foot in both camps, but when Oxford play Spurs (only U21 games these days), any allegiance to Oxford goes out the window.
Oxford had an awful last season and this season has got off to a shocker as well.

Swansea City - where I grew up. During my time at school they were truly terrible, in the third division (League 2 now), including the infamous game where if they lost they'd be relegated to the conference. Because they were so poor everyone had a Premier team. My family is from London and Spurs were the first team I finished in the Panini sticker book, so after that and many Spurs Five Live matches on the radio, I was hooked.

I once went to a Swans game at the Vetch as a teenager where there were no shots for either side, absolutely dire football. Although one of the players that played in the near-relegation team, Leon Britton, stayed all the way through the rise into the Premier League and the League Cup win, which was pretty special to watch, even if every time I went to see Spurs-Swansea with my friends I was trying to hide my glee when Spurs (usually) beat them.

I always used to think they shouted Goal Lazio at the start of football Italia, because Gazza went there.

Great show back in the day and of course Lazio were my italian team but I didn't really follow them.

As for a second team, I have a very slight affinity with Man United (yes, I know). I grew up in manchester, all my mates were United fans, so when I was of pub going age I used to watch all of their matches.

I used to love it when we beat em though, I remember celebrating in a pub at half time twice when we were 2/3up against them (we lost both games).

Not really an affinity as I was laughing my tits off when Brentford and Brighton beat em last year. More of a jealousy, as I watched us get two league cups in 30 years and they won everything.

I dont really care about them winning or not these days, but I'll still watch them if they're on.

I believed you until you said United fans in Manchester. There's no such thing, they all live in Guildford.

I keep meaning to get into my (now) local team, Haywards Heath Town but I work alternate weekends and by sods law, those weekends coincide with their home fixtures.
I have my kids on the weekends when I'm not working so I'd like a change in the fixtures so I can take them along too.

But apart from my thwarted attempts to support my local, non league team, it's only ever been Spurs for me.

I’m amazed certain individuals haven’t put Arsenal. :cautious:

Ajax, had season ticket when I lived in Amsterdam for 5 years about 20 years ago

I've always considered them my Dutch team, even with so many ties with the Woolwich. It was that early/mid 90s team of the De Boers, Overmars, Davids, Bergkamp, Seedorf, VDS, Litmanen - christ, the more I think about that squad the more names come back! What a team that was... amazing to watch.

Brentford, I guess I'm in a win win situation on Sunday, unless it's a draw 🤔
Me too.

it was fine when we were in different leagues. Now that we’re in the same one, I guess a choice was necessary sbd I choose …. Brentford 😆

Perth Glory.

1. Because I was born in a mining town in Western Australia.

2. Because the A-League is absolute top level football 🤥🤥🤥

I've absolutely no idea, to be honest.
I don't follow them at all but went to a game a couple of years ago (my local pub sponsored them so I went down with the landlord for a freebie).

I just kinda want to get into watching football and supporting local a bit because I can't afford to get to Spurs anymore.

They're only a 10 minute walk from my house and I thought it'd be a good thing to get into with the kids, make nice Saturday afternoons out.
I couldn't even tell you what league they're in, the southern shitters or something! 🤣

Thought they did, I go to quite a lot of non league local games, played non league for a number of years and hoping the lad will be out to loan to one this year too

Borussia Moenchengladbach (so doubly fuck Bayern) and Plymouth Argyle. I used to live in Germany in the mid to late 90’s as my dad was in the RAF, so always look out for them and watch them when I can on

Living in Cornwall, Plymouth are the closest team to me so naturally sort of follow them. Best home kit out this year if I don’t mind saying.

I suspect next season I’ll be following and watching Truro City a lot. Been gradually moving up the leagues and they will be moving back to Truro next year - currently play their home games at Torquay as finally they been giving the go ahead to develop an area of land with Penzance Pirates (Rugby Union) to ground share. Which is really exciting. I love Spurs, love going up to games with the old man, but I’ve become really disillusioned with top flight football and can see myself watching a lot of that.

It wouldn't surprise me at all, they aren't very good.
I think our rival town, Burgess Hill are better but then I'm a spurs fan, it only feels right to support the underdogs and drag my kids along with me! 🤣
