Yeah OK, compared to Merc and Ferrari they spend less but with the budget they do have and their facilities they should be doing much better.
Having said that, maybe I just think they should be doing much better because they always used to be good :-)
They should be up there just behind Red...
McLaren do have the budget though, that's why it's been so surprising they've been consistently poor. Williams on the other hand have a fairly modest budget but are still under performing.
We can tell them to do one purely on the basis that we can't get in a replacement. Them bidding while we have the time to get a replacement is one thing, but when we can't do anything? Can't see it happening.
"Sorry Christian, would love to let you leave but we just don't have time to get in a...
I'd be pretty excited if I were an Everton fan. They should definitely improve this season. Whether that means they finish higher in the league or not is different matter, but the team is stronger.
Have to assume that Lukaku is gone though. Reminds me of how we spent the Bale money before...
Walker is the better player. If Trippier was better then city would be after him rather than walker (you have to assume). However, Trippier is a decent substitute for him and if we get 50m odd I can see why we'd accept.
Walker must want to go though which is why this is happening. If he were...
Saw on motd a rumour about Barcelona wanting Poch. Hopefully a load of crap.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is in line to replace Luis Enrique at Barcelona. (Daily Star Sunday)
It just shows what a mental day it's been when I question should we sign Mata.
I apologise to everyone, I can't cope :-)
They'd never sell to us anyway...
Can't believe I'm even typing this, but do we need Mata?
Yes he's brilliant, but aren't there other positions that we should improve ahead of his?
Am I right in thinking he'd compete with Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli, Lennon and Townsend or would he play elsewhere?
When AVB took over, I thought 5th was realistic/minimum. If Harry had been in charge, then as we'd just finished 4th that was the minimum really. New manager and system meant that it was very possible we'd have a worse year than before.
Now though, 4th is an absolute must. Scary to think we...
It's not deadline day, so if there was just a problem (and it hasn't gone tits up because of Chelsea) then makes sense to call it a night and then resume tomorrow.
Well that's annoying. Call off the Bale transfer I say.
Could be that it's nothing that could be sorted tonight though so they've just called it a day and will try again tomorrow? Maybe...?
Interesting they're saying if it was up to Spurs, deal would be announced now, but RM are delaying because of something to do with Raul.
We're not worried about it ruining any negotiating then?
