  • maybe a draw, Woodinho for Forest, Garth Crooks for Spurs
  • 1-0 loss
  • Trips to Tottenham evoke memories of Cloughie’s first game,Roy Keane’s header and
    Mark Crossley’s penalty shoot-out heroics.
Could there be a shock on Sunday? Possibly,if Forest can reproduce their first half display
of last night they might have a chance but realistically a draw would be a great result
  • Pretty sure their manager likes to be aggressive with his line so we're well capable of causing them problems on the break.
  • In my predictions I put this down as a draw, telling myself I can't go for a win every match.
But, sod it, after a first half like that last night (didn't see it, jusy highlights and hearsay) we could possibly be good enough to take three points.
  • spurs struggling against at sides who sit deeper. If we can make it hard and click with pace on the break you just never know...
  • Spurs do go all gung ho at home and leave space at the back. Still looking at a Champs League spot so will see this as a must win.
A quick look at their results show no clean sheets at home in the league since October and only 2 all season. A result unlikely but certainly not impossible. That front 4 of ours could have plenty of space to explore on the break.
  • Spurs win - the curse of the ex-player.
  • Gonna be a backs to wall bombardment from the first to the last minute……I can see the defence getting overrun, the midfield bypassed and the poor buggers upfront not getting a kick, but thats for Ange and Spurs to worry about not us ……
    Away win.
  • Richarlison is back from injury, so if a Forest player could rake their studs down his ankle at some point, that would be much appreciated. Bonus points if they do that pigeon celebration whilst he lies on the ground
  • We're gonna smash these spud twats all the way to their cheese shop
    3-0 Forest
  • I've always harbored an intense dislike of Spurs...ever since that FA Cup Final.
I think I'd enjoy a win over them more than any other Premier League side.
  • I will have to revise my prediction:
Pretend top 6 “big” club 1 Famous “small” club 6

They're not wrong about the break. Nuno won for us vs City playing that way. If the play a false 9 instead of Wood, and then have Elanga, Hudson Odoi, and Gibbs White on the break, they'll be dangerous.

They've got more chance if they play Woods and play for corners.

They still hold a grudge over 1991? Their own CB put the ball in his own net, ffs. If Gazza hadn't been an idiot and got himself carted off, he'd have ripped them apart.

Also their goal should have been chalked off after they rugby tackled a hole in our wall, and we had a perfectly good goal disallowed for offside. Gazza’s injury was obviously completely self inflicted but it’s a weird game to be angry about

They would (& believe you me, still do) say Gazza should have been sent off for that tackle, rather than us being able to sub him.

It was virtually impossible to get sent off for one tackle in those days, unless it was a goalscoring opportunity. He had already kicked someone in the chest by that point though so they are probably correct

Bah, Stuart Pearce used to make that sort of challenge every week back then.
He should've been sent off though, seriously. Of course it's easy for a modern fan to see that tackle and get outraged whatever the practice was at the time, but that was really quite nasty.

Should have been his second yellow. His first one for kicking Gary Charles (I think) in the chest with his studs….

Yeah, he completely lost his composure and let the occasion get to him.

Do you remember that 50/50 challenge between Stuart Pearce and Pat van den Hauwe? Both nicknamed Psycho. I swear the whole stadium held their breath as they knew neither would back off.
