Look, it's hard to say with certainty on an unknown. But in one off cup games and in a final, Mourinho might still be the master.
I have a feeling he might wait for an international job now, as you say, in one off knock out games he probably still fancies himself to win most of them with how he sets up.

Tuchel has been in two CL finals since Dortmund, winning once in 2021.

Mourinho has not been in a CL final since 2010.
That's fair enough, he's a good tactician but he hasn't built a dominant team recently considering all the resources he's had available. I'm not saying he's terrible but he's a level below the likes of Guardiola, Klopp, Ancelotti

Kane seems to prefer managers that are knobheads for some reason. As with most things, I blame Charlie.

Maybe it’s a bit similar to the best player doesn’t necessarily = best manager. Players can have incredible football intelligence on the pitch but can be clueless about the best way to run a club.

As a general rule, the best players hardly ever make the best coaches or managers. That applies to all sports, as far as I can tell.

I would agree. An exception would be Zidane (my favourite player if all time) although it’s hard to judge how good a manager he is currently.

Johan Cruyff would be an exception but I also agree, very few exceptional players make exceptional managers.

And I suppose it’s not surprising. Why should they? There’s not much correlation between the physical skills needed to be a top player and the managerial skills needed to be a top manager.

But I do suspect Harry would make a decent manager. But I don’t think he has that spark that would put him at the top.

I suppose Tim Sherwood would be another notable exception 🤔

Harry was instrumental in us sacking Poch and getting Jose. He wanted a "winner".

Wanted Poch out.
Was excited about Mourinho.
Wanted Conte.
Didn't give Ange 5 minutes.
Wanted Tuchel.

Says it all really. His record of picking managers is absolutely shocking.

Xabi Alonso's looking good currently.

Don’t think he’s got the personality for it. On the Amazon doc he was nowhere near the personality of Lloris when they were captains.

Wasn't he also a lead role in getting Jose sacked in the end also?
We gave Kane too much, to try to keep him here and happy and it turned out detrimental to the club.
Levy said that he'd listened to the voices when it came to hiring a "win now" manager with both Jose and Conte and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Kane was one of the loudest (along with us as fans of course).

I think we pandered far too much to try to keep Kane happy. From playing him all the time, even when not properly fit like the CL final, to listening to what he wanted manager wise.

Then he fucked off anyway so it was all for nothing.
Hope we've learnt our lesson there.
