We must want United to beat Villa, surely? United are effectively 3 games behind us with goal difference - even if they win today. So they're not catching us in any event.

If we perform well for the rest of the season we’ll get 4th. We’re quite far ahead of Utd and Villa look ready to lose their form.

I hope they draw today.

United v villa is one of those games where every result has a positive aspect.
draw - best
Villa win - United back in the mud
United win - fuck off villa

I think Villa are going to fade a bit more over the rest of the season. They've hit a bit of a plateau right now and result's are chopping back and forth. UTD on the other hand seem to have found a bit of form, have found a functional XI and are at last starting to score goals.

As such I think I'd rather see a draw followed by a Villa win. A UTD win continues their momentum and I don't think we want that. We do not have an insurmountable lead on them.

We play City, Arsenal and Liverpool in a row at the end of the season, just need to pick up as many points as we can before then because that run is the potential stumbling block. Champions League and set ourselves up for next season, that's all we need.

Newcastle away in amongst it all, too, not to mention the rescheduled trip to Stamford Bridge.

Utd are quietly going under the radar now that they have a fully fit squad again.

Think it will be a shootout between us for 4th.

Villa were better than them.

Unfortunately for Ollie Watkins he cost his side today. He had 3 huge chances.

United wernt great at all.

6 points and +15 in goal difference is a pretty good gap at this stage of the season when we don't have any games against United left.

We are 7 points after Liverpool and we are not realistically thinking about a title race. Most people think that Sheffield United and Burnley are gone, but they also have 7 points up to safety.

Of course it's doable for United, but they would need a 4 out of 5 end to the season (or better) AND we would need to have a 2 out of 5 end to the season (or worse).

With the squad getting back to better fitness I would expect us to have enough to finish above them.

City and Arse at home, looking forward to seeing a full strength Spurs Vs Pool away.

I can see us winning the rest of our games. I’m glad we are still yet to play all the big teams again as it means we get 3 points closer to them after we beat them.
