I do wonder if a new injury to Romeo Lavia will impact Chelsea’s willingness to deal a CM in January.

New ownership does not have the same history with Spurs/Levy.

If they need to sell, they would not hesitate to do business with Spurs.
Possibly, but not as definite as ‘would not hesitate’.

Selling players that has come through the youth ranks to your worst rival is rare in the PL, regardless of ownership structure.

I don't see it happening in January at all tbh, or at all full stop, Chelsea will want an insane amount of money and it's just not economically viable for us, we need a body in early and for all their FFP problems they won't be doing us any favours.

I really struggle to see this happening, us and Chelsea hate each other, he’s Chelsea through and through.
They’ll string us along or this is all media rubbish

Why would Gallagher come to us... ??... Chelsea boy and Chelsea captain... I never trust that club no matter the situation they are in.

If we pull this off then it would be a sensation IMO 🤷‍♂️

Listening to TS (don't judge) on the way to supermarket, just read out some of Gallagher's stats - top 5 in Europe in a whole load of stats you'd want a midfielder to be, which surprised me.

It doesn't surprise me at all, if you actually look at him as a player and when he was at Palace, he would be a fantastic addition. He's just currently playing in a very average Chelsea side and he's been their top performer this season. I have a few Chelsea mates who don't want to sell him, they think he's great but also he is a huge asset for them in terms of recovering some £££ to help FFP.

If your club wanted to sell you and wasn't offering you a new contract wouldn't you be looking to leave for the best offer available?

Fuck me this thread is like Groundhog Day.

We all know he’s Chelsea’s stand in captain.

We all know he’s a Chelsea fan.

We all know Chelsea historically don’t deal with us.

Things have changed though.

I guess if he's contracted until 2025 and not only his value dips in the summer but Chelsea will get held to ransom because of their FFP situation, it makes sense.
Man alive Boehly really has fucked up on a major scale.

It would be an insane decision for Chelsea to sell who has been their best player in an abysmal season under the nose of their manager.

That is exactly why I think Todd Boehly will do it.

TBH I didn't realise how little he had left on his contract, that does change everything.
