It's a deliberate strategy from him.

a) he gives the worst case scenarios to partly dampen expectations and give himself/the team a bit of cover.
b) it's an attempt to manage the atmosphere down the line - the boost when the player surprisingly returns 'ahead of schedule' and also it makes said player look good and how hard they've worked to come back.
c) but on this note I also think he is dangling a challenge to the injured player and wants to see how they react - will they do everything they can to get back ahead of schedule or stick to a relatively comfy rehab schedule? He can find out a lot about the desire of a player.

He knows what he's doing.
I like it, and frankly we need more players like Harry who will respond to that type of challenge, because that’s also the type of player who’ll throw himself at a lost cause in the 93rd minute to equalise/ score a winner.

It's important to remember that Kane tends to be very sluggish when returning from injuries. The final was a prime example of this but our attacking play has suffered in the past whenever he has first returned from injury.

Although this time may be different as our attacking play is suffering regardless.

It's the same for all players who come back after a lengthy spell out of the team, they may be fit, but they're not 'match fit' and are often a few yards off the pace, as we all saw in the CL final when Kane came back (pre-maturely in my opinion).

By early April, I'm guessing it'll be around the time of the Sheffield United game we'd have 7 fixtures left. Of the 4 in the PL we have to play before them, 3 are at home (Wolves H, Burnley A, Man U H, West Ham H)

During that spell:

Chelsea have Bournemouth A, Everton H, Aston Villa A, Man City H.

Man U have Everton A, Man City H, Tottenham A, Sheffield United H.

Sheffield United have: Norwich H, Newcastle A, Man U A.

Wolves have Tottenham A, Brighton H, West Ham A, Bournemouth H

Arsenal have West Ham H, Brighton A, Southampton A

Burnley have Newcastle A, Tottenham H, Man City A, Watford H

Get through that spell decent and an early April return for Kane would be excellent news as we look at the final 7 games.

If the 5-6 week timescale is true, we could be looking at just one more PL away game (Burnley) until we see the return or Kane. Not a bad looking March if that's the case at all. Not related to Kane but we play Man U the weekend after we play Leipzig in the 2nd leg. Europa League games take place that week as well and with the game being on the Sunday, it means Man U will be playing the Thursday before we play them. The draw is tomorrow so let's hope they get a tough away fixture for that date as it'll only give them 2 full days of recovery before we play them at our place (y)
If we get past Norwich on wed night the West Ham game will be postponed as it’s the 6th round weekend.
I have no doubt we will push the game as far into May as we possibly can, so as to have Kane and Sonny back in the team.

Do we actually get a say in WHEN a game will be rescheduled? I thought that was a thing of the past?

Late in the season, potential dates are limited anyway. I am also pretty sure that there are pre-arranged dates for moving PL fixtures to, when clubs are still in the FA Cup?

Not surprised and can't blame the bloke.

Though he can't say that he hasn't had a chance to win a trophy. There have been finals and semi-finals where the players, including Harry, have failed to perform.

Come on guys, it’s Matt Law, don’t give that lying cretin the clicks.

I’d give it more credence if Adrian shit stirrer Durham has written it.

Just google Matt Laws last 50 Spurs articles, bet you’ll not find one that is either positive, or turned out to be correct.

Even if it were true, Harry has another 4 years on his deal, who is going to pay the money required to take him off our hands after two very injury hit seasons and form which has very much dipped?

If he goes, he goes to Madrid. And even then, it will be a world record transfer fee. North of 200m.
But if jose isn't given the money to reinvest, that'll be a nightmare. As 200m can pay for 4 very good first XI type players. Would hate for him to go, but the blow will be slightly softened if they can use the money to bring in high caliber recruits. And if it will happen, it better be done early.
But knowing us, it'll be another summer shit show, where the transfer isn't finalized until the final two weeks of the window, forcing us to scramble. Which we know we suck at.

Law called Poch going and Jose coming, so he does have a source at the club.

If this is true, allegedly big players were willing to walk if Poch stayed on. Seems our biggest could still walk, regardless.

Oh, it's that time of the year again.

Only realistic club is United. Can't see Perez going near levy with this one price wise. City have Aguero plus no european football for two years.
However woodward would be stupid enough to bow to levy and pay an astronomical figure.

Don't think he'll leave.

Never really understood all that talk about big players wanting to leave if Poch stayed. We only really have Kane and Son who could be considered big. And Son had just signed a new deal under Poch. The only other player would be Eriksen but he was leaving anyway. There's no one else we'd really care that much about.

I'm sure if I looked hard enough online I could find some real dud Law stories.

Anyone could see Poch was going or close to going and everyone knew Levy/ Lewis were fans of Mourinho. A glittered manager available with no compensation to pay? Don't need a top notch source to throw enough and see if it sticks. Happy to be proven wrong though.

In all honesty the story is probably true and I’d almost be concerned if Kane wasn’t starting to ask questions about his future, he’s not gonna create a historic legacy rotting in the Europa League with us. However, I just can’t see him leaving. Firstly because I can’t see Jose and Daniel letting it happen (Jose has already made clear Kane staying is paramount) and secondly because I can’t see anyone paying what Daniel would want especially with his injuries in mind. I think Jose will persuade him to give us one more year and if we’re shit again next season they will probably both leave summer 21. By the way, as much as I love the bloke, if we could get just under 200m for him in the summer and spent 250 on the squad before next season I don’t think it would necessarily the worst thing in the world. That’s a discussion for another day though
