Hopefully Jose learned a lot tonight about some of our players.
Hopeful but doubtful.
As someone else posted earlier, has he not seen any of our previous performances under Poch? You can jave the best front 4 in the world but if you dont give them the bloody ball quick enough then they'll struggle. Especially if its a total cluster fuck at the back.

The thing that really annoyed me, the lack of effort showed by many of our players tonight. It's never nice seeing us lose, that goes without saying, I find losing bearable if I know we've given it everything and left nothing out there, but when the opposition shows much more effort and commitment and a sense of being up for it more, I always get far more annoyed at that than at the actual loss itself.

There is absolutely no excuse or reason why they should have been much more up for it than we were despite what was being said in the media, in my opinion we both had a real point to prove, and the team that did play as though they had, deservedly took the 3 points.

Think we just forget about that game. Might see a couple more of them. Jose is rightly trying players out, in different systems, with different team mates just to see if they make the grade. Can’t blame him as he needs to know come January or the summer as to who he needs to keep and who needs to be shifted.

How about - a radical suggestion - instead of people building him up or knocking him down, we allow him a little bit of time and withold judgment? Call me crazy.

He’s Hose. Inventor of bread and the wheel. A man who’s been watching us all season and our shortcomings. An instant trophy winner. A man back at his old employer, with a point to prove.

that was shit. Spam me, whatever. I won’t be changing my opinion.

Winks is championship level at best don’t want him near the team again

That is harsh, very harsh.

But he's not the required quality to be starting regularly in midfield for us if we're aspiring to be a top four regular.

It's obviously going to take some time for Mourinho to get our squad into shape and playing the way he wants them to.

He'll learn alot from tonight.

Again, as others have said, Eriksen shouldn't make a matchday squad again. LoCelso needs to be given a proper chance now.

Kane needs to honestly appraise his performance - he simply didn't put in the effort required (and that's not the first time this season). How can we point the finger at Aurier, etc. without first looking at our captain?

Gazzinga is Championship calibre, nothing more.

Vertonghen doesn't look match fit - and besides, it's becoming clear that, if we had a choice of him or Alderweireld, it would be Toby. No contest.

And, as has been the case for 18mths, we need a proper holding midfielder that can protect our back four and break up opposition attacks through the middle. Mourinho needs to find the next Makelele. But who/where?

Lots of holes to fill. Plenty of deadwood to move out. Same issues as Poch, but I have more trust that Mourinho will have greater focus, clarity of vision and be able to demand more decisiveness from Levy.

Tonight was just a necessary bump on the road to recovery and future glory! COYS!!

That’s a very worrying game. No desire, no intensity.

The new manager bounce already over?

Think fans just forgot how shite West Ham are and how average Olympiacos and Bournemouth are. And we looked all over the shop defensively for a lot of those games as well.

Yeah Utd aren’t great, but they are better than those opponents, especially at home with a point to prove.

This was our first real test and we failed fucking miserably.

Nearly Christmas and we don't know our best formation. We don't know our best full backs. We don't know our preferred midfield and none of our new signings have been integrated into our team yet.

How shite has this season been..

I don't spam or do disagrees or anything else as it serves no purpose. The point is that DL is certainly a million miles from giving up on Mourinho so I fail to see the point in people getting negative. He'll be given time and (hopefully) adequate funds to build a team.

We looked really up for that West Ham game. Seems it was a one off.

Sissoko And Winks has never worked and again didnt tonight . The issue for me with Winks is he is one of those players you really want to see succeed so give him more benefit of the doubt than others. Tonight the tide turned a bit for me and am starting to doubt he is what we need

The guy is clearly a fool with no understanding of what "spam" actually means. Posters like him ruin it.

That high tempo relentless pressure that made us so good is such a long and distant memory now. Its hard to watch. How the hell we can keep bringing Eriksen on is beyond belief. Forget all this time to settle in nonsense, it's December, Lo Celso needs to start.
