Geordie Xmas ruined. They can go out and beat up the lass or the police horse now.

Only a few weeks ago they were gobby as fuck at being in the CL and up in the table with the elite.

They who laugh last will laugh last. (sic)

Maybe they'll turn it around eh ?

Howe will be fine. The fans love him for the most part and the injury crisis is understood. Don't forget he is the first coach to get the fans properly on board for years. They have had a shite time under cashly.

It's a bit different with the Toon fans. They are fanatical and fanciful, but it comes from a a place of lunacy as opposed to misplaced arrogance... If that makes sense.

I've a soft spot as I lived up there for a while. Mad as a box of frogs they are but a generally sound and sensible fan base.

They might have a massive uphill struggle.to fight for a European spot but it's much like our misfortune with injuries. Their fans will be bouncing wherever they end up. Just hopefully not above us....
Yeah I certainly find Newcastle far less annoying than Villa fans for example.

Newcastle have a lot of loyal fans who stuck with them and when beaten by us, most stuck round to the end. I can imagine their feeling during the Cashley years was similar to us during Nuno / Mourinho in that we began to become a lot more disconnected to the club. Just they had to go through it far far longer.

They were unlucky with their group draw in Champions League, by far the most difficult. Top 4 will be tough for them due to the competition this year, but they will break out of the recent bad form and I can still see them getting top 6, but being stronger for the experience.

Weirdly he's used £s for our total revenue but €s for Newcastle's and City's, making their figures seem more impressive next to ours.

Should be £619m for City (nothing to see here... 😆🤑), £443m for us and £180m for Newcastle based on 2023's Deloitte money league.

Cheeky bastard 🤣
To put it into perspective, we want to be a top-six sustainable club and Tottenham's latest accounts available [showed the total revenue] was £440m. We are at £250m, so there is a big step even to the lower end of the top six,"

They have a clear run at FFP after 3 yrs if very little spend. He’s just setting out the paupers stall for show so they don’t get taken to the cleaners but selling clubs.

I wonder if Saudi will get tired of this?

They clearly thought they could come in and do what Dubai did at City - spend spend spend until they put themselves on top and then globally takeover.

But this gonna really block them, honestly can't see Newcastle winning any titles if they are having to sell players to kick on.

Would the Saudi's be happy with 5th-8th place finishes every year?
