To play devils advocate, we signed VDV on the other side who is arguably just as good and well suited to Ange's style of football and isn’t reckless match after match so if we sold Romero we could sign a VDV equivalent for RCB with the Romero money.Of course he shouldn't be sold... he's a world class defender with a ruthless style you don't see that often in modern football..... and he can play football on top... but he definately needs to be more mature in certain situations. I hope Ange can help him.
And yes... we need a 3rd quality CB... no matter what. We can't just realy on VDV and Romero...
With that plan we would still need a 3rd CBTo play devils advocate, we signed VDV on the other side who is arguably just as good and well suited to Ange's style of football and isn’t reckless match after match so if we sold Romero we could sign a VDV equivalent for RCB with the Romero money.
Ideally he just tones down his tackling as he is world class when he’s not flying in trying to break players legs.

He's a lucky boy.
I'd be into him again if I was the gaffer. Could have easily been another long ass suspension.
We need him.
Yea ofc we’d still sign a 3rd one we’d essentially be swapping Romero. With that plan we would still need a 3rd CB
Just get another level headed centre back who can play either side and we're sorted. Romero is a good contrast to what VdV brings but just needs to calm down more. He does seem calmer with VdV next to him though. Also not being mentioned but he's also the one at the end keeping the likes of Vicario and Porro out of trouble. To play devils advocate, we signed VDV on the other side who is arguably just as good and well suited to Ange's style of football and isn’t reckless match after match so if we sold Romero we could sign a VDV equivalent for RCB with the Romero money.

Those defending him tonight wouldn’t feel the same had that been given and he was out for another 4 games banned and costing us yet more points having to play Emerson & Davies at CB.
But it wasn't so here we are. Those defending him tonight wouldn’t feel the same had that been given and he was out for another 4 games banned and costing us yet more points having to play Emerson & Davies at CB.
It’s only a matter of time before it does happen again though. But he didn't, so no need to worry about stuff that didn't happen
It was reviewed by var and they agreed with the yellow so not sure your point. If he made a red card challenge then sure I for one wouldn't defend him but he didn't (imo of course). Those defending him tonight wouldn’t feel the same had that been given and he was out for another 4 games banned and costing us yet more points having to play Emerson & Davies at CB.

He slipped.Watching him today in the ground, he was too riled up from the start.
Had a feeling he was gonna leave one on a Newcastle player.
He's gonna cost us again, absolutely no need for what he did today.
Gary Neville going ooooooh is part of the reason there's a bigger issue around it every time its about Romero..Maybe, but that tackle tonight wasn't like the Chelsea one (which wasn't a red IMO still) or as bad as others similar since his red card. So not sure why people are over reacting
My point is it was very close (too close) to a red and he needs to learn quickly. It was reviewed by var and they agreed with the yellow so not sure your point. If he made a red card challenge then sure I for one wouldn't defend him but he didn't (imo of course).
