I'm sure it's just a coping mechanism. Liverpool couldn't possibly lose games and come anywhere other than first place without corruption. It literally means that every game they play they tell themselves they won despite the corrupt officials or lost points because of it. Literally a no lose in their own minds. Like telling yourself if you can't get a date it's not because there's anything wrong with you but it's because there's a secret pact between women not to date you regardless how great you are.

I feckin knew it :cautious:

He talks and looks like that annoying little shit on the polar express. For that reason I’m out.

I'll save myself the time. Nothing Mark Goldbridge says is interesting. Last week he was screaming that Liverpool should sue the "dictatorship that is the pgmol and United should back them".

The guy is a fucknugget.
Its not even his real name.

Usually I agree, but he has a good point here. He's nowhere near as bad as swarmy Rory chelsea wankpuffin.

Gooners keep on telling me that I think we’re going to win the league despite my offering no opinion on the matter at all. Anyone else getting this experience?

Yep. In fact, I see this everywhere ‘oh well done for winning the league in October’ and ‘hahaha you think you’re winning the league, can’t wait for spurs to be spursy again’ etc etc etc.

The fact is by my estimate from what I see on social media and what I speak about with my friends, around 99.9% of Spurs fans genuinely don’t believe we’ll win the league. We’re happy that we’re playing good football again, we’re happy that we seem capable of a top 4 challenge again and we’re happy that we have a good atmosphere at the stadium again and a manager we can relate to.

If we’re still top in Feb, maybe we’ll start talking about the title but my guess is that even if we are top in Feb, no Spurs fan will want to jinx it by gobbing off on social media. We’ll just quietly live in hope until we actually do win it before making every single non Spurs supporting friend suffer in real life and every single post on social media absolutely unbearable by just posting ‘champions’ to any message, including stuff like ‘what’s the time’ and ‘what do you think of Russia’s decision to pull out of Ukraine’.

He's actually pretty complimentary of us quite regularly. I don't actually mind him now but agree the first time I saw/heard him, I thought he was a twit twoo 🦉

Of course, and I’m sure his opinion will change like the wind, but all he’s noting is the improvement in aggression and change in style from us from last season. (And how it has happened so quickly). Nothing different from what we have said and are happy about.

Combining the facts people have short memories and that on social media you aren’t allowed to be happy about anything, it is no surprise that opposition fans don’t get it as to why we are happy with how things are going this season.
