Need another forward in. Richarlison at least held the ball up. Romero was chopping the ball into him and he was winning the battle but as soon as he went off Son couldn’t hold it up. We defo need another in.

He tries but seems a awkward fit for the strikers role in this system. Doesn't feel like he has those natural instincts a striker has and he may well get away with it with a team further down the league who maybe play to his strengths buts that's not going to happen at us. We really do need something to happen in terms of a striker this window.

Against some part timers, if we're using the Shaktar excuse for H.

I'll get off his back, ultimately I want everyone to do well at Spurs. But I think we should be realistic about Richarlison's level.
We also need to be realistic about what we expect from the CF in this system though. Had Richarlison managed to poach a goal today, without otherwise doing anything different, pundits would be speaking very differently of his performance.
Kane is superior to Richarlison in every way, but would absolutely have fewer touches of the ball under Ange compared to under Conte / Mourinho. There were plenty of occasions under Poch where Kane disappeared for the majority of a game, but popped up with a poacher's goal or a moment of individual brilliance (neither of which Richarlison will do as frequently). If he'd been dropping deep constantly, he would have detracted from what Eriksen & Dembele contributed. Under Mourinho and Conte, our midfield was almost non-existent and this was the key weakness in our team, despite how effective Kane was at dropping deep. We now have a midfield again.

It’s not quite falling for him right now, although not massively involved he had 2 moments that I can think of where it almost almost broke to him deep inside the box. If we keep scoring goals it WILL eventually start falling for him I feel.

I don’t want to be too harsh, lots of effort and hustle, but short on instinct. His hold up play was poor at times too today. It’s early days however. I’m not confident he is going to bag a lot of goals to be honest. We definitely need another quality forward anyway.

Do wonder if we could see some interest in him from Saudi. Could be seen as bit of a coup for them to have Brazil's no 9 playing over there and wouldn't be totally surprised if something were to happen.

He needs to show a bit more strength and stop falling over so much, he’s a strong lad and needs to show it as opposed to spending half the game on the floor.

I just don’t see it with Richarlison at the 9. He works hard, but that’s not enough. There are some players who the ball always seems to fall to them in the box - Richarlison is the opposite of that. He never seems to be in the right positions to capitalize. His movement isn’t good enough for me. Occasionally he will make a good run, like he did for the header he went in for, but overall I just don’t think he makes enough runs. He also doesn’t hold the ball up well - too many times today it bounced off him or he got muscled off the ball. I think he is a good player capable of the sublime, but I just don’t see him fitting in here as a 9 or out wide. I hope I’m wrong - I’d love for him to come good. But I think we seriously need to get a replacement for Kane. Maybe a little competition will help him find his feet.

Based on his humanitarian efforts and anti-Bolsonaro stance i doubt he'd go. And I wouldn't want to send him there. He'll come good.

I’m OK with him at the moment. Needs some patience and time.

I would neither be surprised to see him come good, nor he shipped out in 12 months.

But unless there’s an obviously superior 9 available (and I mean a blatantly top class striker, not a Toney or Watkins), in which case I’d sell him and replace him, I’d give him 12 months and then reassess

I thought he was good second half, I felt he shouldn't have come off, we couldn't keep the ball as soon as he went off

He was being the fulcrum that allowed Maddison and Sarr to link up

Worked hard and didn’t get many chances created for him but his hold up play was hit and miss.

Like to see him get a goal for confidence and see how that changes him but at the same time we 💯 have to sign a striker.

Simply put he just isn't good enough to play as our striker. Works hard and makes a nuisance of himself but little else.

I expect goals. That's the only measure that matters really.

I thought he was OK.

He was a good focal point at times but he loses the ball too often for my liking.

Think he lost it in the build up to Anthony hitting the post.

Needs to work on this.

Let's see how he goes in the next few games.

I remember when he was being linked a lot of posters talked positively about his shithousing. I pointed out that this is only good if done in a positive way.

It seems to me a lot of it is rolling around on the floor. Not for the first time there was a moment when he went down, didn't get the foul then stayed down despite us being in possession. It resulted in us attacking a player down.

He showed some nice touches but he needs to offer a lot more.

If we could use Richy to Make a deal with either Juve for Vlahovic or Milan for Leao, I believe this squad could be fighting for something real next season.
