There is no German team who pays 40m pounds for Hojbjerg. I could see Bayern offering 30m but tbh I don't think he is what they need and you would think they need the funds for Kane. :censored:

Atletico makes sense having done them a big favour in getting Doherty for free.

(not serious)

Really need a new central midfielder in though with Bentancur out.

Need the German team to be Leverkusen

It's actually smart to sell him now. This type of player will struggle over time. We've had limited life out of Wanyama and Sandro in the past.

We must be confident of signing a replacement as PEH has been an ever-present for the past 3 seasons.

Unless Ange is going to put his trust in one of Skipp/Sarr.

Never went missing in my opinion...not to say he wasn't disappointing performances...but he certainly didn't shy away from a challenge or responsibilities each time he played.

Need this grit in a Jose and Conte team....maybe not AP.

Manu Kone/Khephren Thuram would be my two choices to replace him.

Both are very gettable and are at the perfect age to only get better.

Saw Liverpool dropping their interest in Thuram as they were getting nowhere dealing with Nice and targeting Lavia instead.

Haven't seen enough of either to form a strong enough opinion but quite conceivably come into the reckoning should Hojbjerg depart.

Might need to look HG though depending on defensive recruits.

I think it was Trix who suggested Bentancur may be a number 6 and I can see that possibility at the very least as an alternative to Bissouma at times, I like the idea of signing Scott and having the possibility of Scott and Maddison in tandem as opposed to signing another 6 or deep lying 8. I must admit rating Sarr as highly as I do does help.

Bissouma/Skipp
Bentancur/Sarr
Maddison/Scott

That to me allows for so much flexibility.

Scott would be good but we already have 2 youngsters in Skipp and Sarr. I think we need a more senior replacement for Hojbjerg. Someone who will come straight in while Bentancur is out.

I'd be happy with those options going into this season.

As much as the talk is about Bissouma and how he'll respond to Ange's system, like you i'm really intrigued (and hoping) how Sarr fares as well who should absolutely have played more minutes in our run-in.

Ether Scott or Veiga for me ideally. Could even do a partial swap for Veiga using Regi who Celta want apparently and then use rest of the funds raised by PEH for another position. I really think he is a tailor made 8 for Angie. I don't think we have a shot at Lavia as he seems to Liverpools next top target and he will be very expensive most likely but obviously wouldn't say no.
