Does surprise me, I thought he would want the record goal scorer more tbh.

He could still go abroad for a few years and return for the record.

Depending on his fitness, he might be capable of playing another five, six or seven years at a high level.

Kane will work in any team he's a phenomenal player but yea I agree on the why would he go to Bayern to win a Bundesliga title just seems pointless.

Sure they'd be playing CL and they're a big club and they'd have a chance of winning the CL every year but they're not in the best place right now, City and a number of other teams are stronger, Kane is 29, is uprooting your family to win a few Bundesliga titles really worth it compared to staying and breaking the PL all time scoring record and he could move to Man.U or City etc on a free next summer.

Just doesn't make much sense to me as to why he'd want to go there right now. If this was the all conquering Bayern from a few years back sure but not sure its the best move for him.

That being said I'd far rather he went there than to a PL team so if they fancy giving us £90-100mil then I think we should accept.

you're underestimating the pull and spectacle of VfL Bochum away, under the night lights!

And what if he says no which he probably would

Well me personally I would let him leave for nothing, getting top will get us 40-50million which we probably wouldn’t without Kane. Also when he’s looking what he wants to do next season we will be ina better position (champions league) to offer him a new contract.

To be honest mate I don't really care, as he cost us nothing as far as a transfer fee is concerned.

Levy clearly said "the stadium was the game changer" that would allow us to compete as far as transfers and wages were concerned, and I'm holding him to that. There should be enough money to do our business regardless of Harry Kane's situation.

Sorry Trix, but what us as fans think is often completely different to what a club chairman will think from a business perspective, none more so than Levy.

Question - Can you really tell me that with all you know and frequently comment on about Daniel Levy, that you think he will let Kane walk for free?

I hated Kane until about May of last season. Check my post history if you want.

But what he's done in a terrible underperforming team this season should absolutely be reason to forgive him, he's clearly given his all for the club on and off the pitch.
If this starts going the way of 2021 I'm ready to get off this forgiving train and get back on the fuck Harry Kane train.

Most important part of that article:

“Kane’s Spurs contract expires at the end of June 2024 and talks are not advanced about a new one. Despite this, nothing has been decided about Kane’s future.
At this stage, the dialogue is between the clubs and Kane is not actively agitating for a move. “
Think they should do what PSG are doing with Mbappe. Looks for all the world like he's off by next year but still publicly offering him a new deal. Show him we're serious. And bring him to the table, see what he says.

Lots of big sources saying he'd be willing to move to Bayern is surprising to me. Orstein, Charlie, Jacob Steinberg (who works closely with Fab) all reporting on it.

the Ornstirn article suggest that BM are hopeful a deal can be done with us and if personnel terms aren’t an issue it could be happening

Why the fuck would Harry sacrifice being the all time PL goal scorer for an easy European title that will be forgot about in a season? Surely he’s not as thick as some people make him out to be?

Yep, when it’s players linked with us these are the ones we generally take notice of

His brother has briefed them dude. To what end though? Flush out Man U now they aren’t spending money on mount is my guess. I don’t think he seriously wants to go to Germany.

Maybe he really is sick of not winning anything and is willing to move to anywhere that guarantees trophies.

Even a Bundesliga title.

Bayern are a huge club in a decent league. Man City walked the league this season and probably will for the next five, not sure the difference.

I could definitely see him being happy to join Bayern - they are a huge club and one of the few that would be in the mix to win their league and champions league in the next few years. If it wasnt for the goal scoring records he is after it would be a no brainer.

but it is a step down in terms of leagues tho. No disrespect intended to the bundesliga, but most players dream of reaching the EPL. Ok Mane went there but look how that’s gone. Elite players mostly seem to leave the EPL for the big 2 in Spain

Agree with all the second paragraph, but not the first. What we paid for Kane isn’t relevant - he’s an asset worth whatever he is worth to us whether he was free or cost £1bn. It’s a sunk cost (or lack of one in this case)

A premier league would mean more to Kane than the Bundesliga surely?

But Levy isn't selling domestically so Kane doesn't have a choice.

That's why Bayern is a good compromise if he wants to leave asap.

If they’re serious, I’d be looking for:

£80m (50% up front)

Then in the first three years:

Bundesliga Winners +£10m
CL QF +£5m
CL SF +£7.5m
CL F +£10m
CL winners +£20m

Maybe there’s a reason I don’t handle contract negotiations…

Got to say I didn’t feel to threatened by the Bayern interest as I didn’t feel Harry would exactly be pining for them. Falk is quite reliable though isn’t he?

I get what people are saying with the fact he’ll leave in a year anyway and we might as well get a few now etc. Trouble is, what the hell do we do for a striker? Clearly we’re never going to be in a position to buy a Harry Kane, but we’re going to do well to even get a 15-20 goal man, and no I don’t believe Richarlison is that. Even if he was we’d still need a striker to take his place on the bench.

Does make me wonder though, are we spending the Kane money already? Remember summer 2013 we spent up to around £100M and was told Bale’s going nowhere, turns out we were spending the Bale money all along. If we got Maddison and Tapsoba that’s presumably circa £100M just those two. Plus the other reinforcements we need, makes me wonder
