@Colonel Dax not keen?
I didn't ask that but it makes my point as he developed 3 years at Southampton before making the next step up and the same goes for Wanyamawould have definitely taken VVD
So us thenidn't ask that but it makes my point as he developed 3 years at Southampton before making the next step up and the same goes for Wanyama
Ange for me would need a better job like a mid table PL job or a high level European team first
You think that's bad I'm so far behind in this thread I've only just found out conte has leftI've got a funny feeling that fuck all is going to happen today.

This is my concern. I love the attacking ideas but it can be naive to think you can do that without adapting. Even Pep had to take his medicine when he came here and adapt his ideas. If Ange does come I hope he does the same.My worry about Ange is his Celtic team are very poor at defending. If he come to us we’ll be like Biesla’s Leeds. We’ll overwhelm some teams but the better ones will pick us off like Celtic were in Europe.
I’m not an ‘Ange person’ at all, but yes if he knew it was the right fit tbh.Question to the Ange people, would you have CCV back as a CB for us?
We were fourth when we had a manager, we dropped like a lead ballon when our chairman decided to wait so he could make the right choiceSo us then
Yeah but he’s really charismatic and likeableMy worry about Ange is his Celtic team are very poor at defending. If he come to us we’ll be like Biesla’s Leeds. We’ll overwhelm some teams but the better ones will pick us off like Celtic were in Europe.

I watched them play a game against Rangers last season and they absolutely tore them a new one, didn't hold back over ran them with wave after wave of attack. But they didn't do that to Rangers again, next times they played it was Rangers pegging Celtic back. Now Celtic still deservedly won the league, but I'd have to say that Rangers would be a more likely bet to win it next year. Maybe we're looking at the wrong manager here, maybe Michael Beale would be a better option. He was the secret to Gerrards success at Rangers and just to put that into context, stopped Celtic from winning 10 titles in a row, which is no mean feat.One thing I'll say about Celtic under Ange is they don't hang about, they play on the front foot and get the ball into play as quick as possible, it takes our lot half an hour to throw the ball backwards.

Bit of both I thinkdid Pep have to adapt his ideas? Or did he open the cheque book and sign upgrades in all the positions he thought were weak?
I wish you were right but I feel it’s more of a dartboard approachIf Ange is the guy, you'd like to think it's because we've done a lot more bloody research than how many titles he's won and how much money he's spent relative to the other teams in those leagues.
The one thing that gives me optimism is that, unlike our previous shambolic managerial search, we do at least appear to be targeting a certain profile of manager. Surely, you'd think we've used a whole lot of data and expert insights to come up with our list of targets based on style of play and tactical proficiency, compatibility with our squad, as well as his personality.
Maybe I'm giving the higher ups too much credit, but we've been told we're pushing towards a data driven model, it'd make a lot of sense to have actually used data a la Brighton to find a coach that suits us.
Where's the optimistic rating when you need it eh?

LOL we did last time until we hired a DoFIf Ange is the guy, you'd like to think it's because we've done a lot more bloody research than how many titles he's won and how much money he's spent relative to the other teams in those leagues.
