My only worry with Slot is how he gets the best out of our wingbacks in a back 4 system.

Maybe he tries to adapt to 5 at the back, but I’m always wary of managers changing their systems. Especially as he plays a rigid 4-3-3/4-2-3-1.

As we saw with Nuno it was a complete distaster when he changed up what brought him success with Wolves.
maybe starting a more attacking with a more defensive one on the other side (Davies-Porro or Udogie-Emerson)? just like how Jose did

If we do not have a Director of Football, then how can we go about hiring a coach first? That's backwards, isnt it?
This is THFC of course it's backwards. I think the last 3 or 4 years have shown the dof to be a backwards role anyway. We just need a head of recruitment to identify and sign players. The dog's change as quick as managers these days.

I’d have thought talks have been progressing simultaneously with various candidates and DL now has the combo he feels comfortable with and they are both aware of each other. I’d not be surprised to see DOF and manager announced together or within a day or two of each other.

Does that with any manager who plays anything that resembles his JdP style of football. Was mad about Potter at Brighton, too.
The more I think about it the more I think it’s got Potter written all over it.
He’s being linked with Nice today, he got a £13m (😳!) pay off from Chelsea, couple of months off to recover from his PTSD, no compensation and ready to go for the summer.

The Eredivisie finishes on Sunday 28th so it seems very unlikely anything will be announced before then, hopefully hear something official the following week.

Well I'd hope that Slot would have been 100% focused on Feyenoord until the season ended, as we'd expect him to be for us.

Yeah I know, but you can still talk to his representatives before speaking to him.

From that you would get an idea of his demands.

Who are better options?

Nagelsmann
Gallardo
Enrique
Potter
Poch until he went to Chelsea. ( Though I didn't want him back
De Zerbi
Spalletti

You could also include in that list but don't have that much experience.

Alonso
Kompany
Carrick
Fucking LOL (the rest is pretty debatable too. )

But it happened a year ago with ETH and was announced before their season ended. There isn't any reason for that not to happen
