Imagine if Levy went on a sole scouting mission.Nah. I've never understood this idea that Levy "isn't a football man" and "doesn't get it".
The guy knows more about Tottenham Hotspur and football than everyone on this forum put together. He has part-owned a football club for 20 years. He knows it top from bottom. He's there every day. He has signed and sold over a hundred players. He knows and is known by everyone in football. He practically runs the Premier League. He is executive chairman of the European Club Association.
He has hundreds of millions of pounds invested in the club - if you're hurt when we lose, imagine how you'd feel if you were him watching the club you support go down the pan and have a fortune riding on!
If you think you know more about football than him, you're deluding yourself. In fact, it's just utterly laughable to think that you do. You are a fan, I am a fan. We are not in the game in the same way as he is, managers are and players are.
The problem isn't that he "isn't a football man" or "doesn't get it". The problem is that he hasn't been making the right choices and, certainly recently, hasn't been good at the football side of his job.
We need Levy to get a new DoF in who isn't a criminal and is better and who can take the whole lot off him.
Would you trust him to make a good assessment of the players?
