People being frustrated is fine but if they engaged their brains for two mins they would realise it's not his fault at all. He's a player who is trying his best. Is he good enough? No. But he should be here. Look at the reason he is and direct your energy there but not at our own players.

Brian dead these people
What do you mean? Is he good enough? No. Good enough for his country and good enough for Ajax and good enough for us to pay good money for him.
He has had this label (not good enough) for a long time. People groan when he comes on call him stupid names and now we have destroyed any confidence or will to play for us again. Which I believe in turn will make any sell on value less.
Agree with the rest of your post, but a lot of players we have had deemed not good enough for Tottenham have gone on to be very good at other clubs.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but I'm not sure I want to watch the remaining games this season. The way Sanchez was treated felt like the final straw for me. I can watch 90 min of crap football, but treating our own players like that is something else.
The fans toxicity towards the the players has massively amplified since Conte’s inexplicable rant after the Southampton game.

And by element you mean a vocal majority at the stadium today. Truely sad and absolutely embarrassing.
I can only assume by your comments that you were not at the match. Whist I agree with your absolutely embarrassing and sad statement the booing of Sanchez was not from the vocal majority of fans. As I have posted previously the booing was subtle and mixed in with the moans and groans. I am in the south stand lower and it did not come from the south stand as far as I could tell and I wasn’t the only one on her to think that. It came from a relatively small number of sporadic groups elsewhere in the stadium. As disgusting as it was it was not the majority of the vocal support.

Valid points. I actually think there is a decent player but we have done a horrible job in managing him. He played well when Jan or Toby was injured and was immediately dropped despite playing well. sarr another good example of this more recently

I have just got back home from the game, last one I was able to get over to was against Leeds.

Our so called "fans" are genuinely an embarrassment.

They booed Emerson that day and cheered when he came off, the exact same as yesterday with Sanchez.

It's actually embarrassing to be associated with classless people like that. Anyone that gives 100% for the club, whether they are good enough or not, should always have our "support".

Such a toxic atmosphere around the club these days, it's hardly going to make any potential new manager watch and think this is going to be an exciting club to come into.
And they don't realise (or care) that the whole squad will now feel angry at the crowd for the treatment of their friend (s) and be less and less connected to them and the club going forward. It is damaging on every level but no doubt it made the ' booers' feel good for a few seconds

He’s been no worse overall than Dier, Lenglet, Romero and Tanganga. Every single one of them has done utterly morose things this season. People push this myth of Sanchez causing our defence to look bad, hate to break it to you but our defence has been bad no matter who’s playing. He’s not at a level we need of course but don’t boo him and then choose not to boo Dier and Cuti for basically doing the same things week in week out. If you’re gonna be a bellend at least be consistent. Boo Royal but then don’t boo Porro for worse performances. Either boo everyone who’s playing shit or shut your fucking mouth.

Or just be a decent human being and don't boo any player for not being good enough.

You’re not overreacting at all mate, for me the Man Utd game will be my final home game for this season on my ST. I was kidding myself setting my own target of attending the last 5 home games: cannot do it to myself!

The horrible thing is that football is meant to be an escape from the mundane 9-5 or equivalent job you’re in: I would rather work that’s how bad a watch it is with Spurs!

It’s so hard as you try your best through gritted teeth to first of all enjoy match days and get behind the team: then we get the predictable weekly three course dish of side ways, back and mistakes.

The booing (on and off at individual players especially this season) is an accumulation of what could’ve been (this season and across the past 4/5) but I just find that very sad all round as where the hell is that going to get us.

I know it’s easier said than done but fans need to start collaborating and articulating their views rather than slamming their chests hurling abuse at a player(s) that we all know are not up to it.

It’s good to see groups evolving like Change for Spurs and yep like with everything they’ll get mocked etc There needs to be more of this across our fan base. I would rather be associated with people who are doing that as it acts as a pressure group other than the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust. There simply needs to be more cohesion. The thing we all know as Spurs fans is that unfortunately our situation could get worse before people realise.

Weirdly I was in the west lower and it sounded as though all the booing was from the south stand

My seat is in the East stand, and from there it sounded like the entire South Stand was booing. The volume was as shocking as the act was shameful.

If anyone on here is guilty of booing Sanchez yesterday I just want you to know from the bottom of my heart that you're a piece of shit, cowardice individual.

It's very easy to tell who the losers are, when they're so vocal in the projection of their insecurities.

Sanchez deserves better. I made a joke about him in the match thread and I honestly regret it now.

I don't know about alcohol related because I was always bladdered at games and never booed, maybe because I'm usually a happy drunk?
I think some of it comes down to herd mentality, in that a few start and other join in just to feel a part of something.

I don't really have any answers, just that when I used to go, we'd get pissed, have fun and cheer every little moment from a good tackle to a throw in won.
Maybe the expectations are lower when you've got Iverson and Armstrong up top. 😂

People just like to be miserable these days and have lost the ability to enjoy the little things in life.

I used to go a fair bit in the 90s and I genuinely can't remember a single time we booed our own player on the pitch. It's mind boggling to me. I'm priced out these days and it's probably just as well as I'd not be able to keep my mouth shut.

It was the lowest point of the season for me. I hope the club come out and say that it is totally unacceptable to treat your own player like that.

We really are quite a horrible fanbase right now.

It's embarrassing to be a spurs fan at the moment.

The club needs to release a statement condemning the booing and defending the the player.

We shouldn't leave Davinson out to dry.
You are kidding right? Hugo as Captain has done so but there is no way the club will do so imo
