Boycotting food/drink or merchandise to try and get at Levy is nonsense, he is not leaving just because a few sausage rolls have not sold.
That’s bollocks considering the whole reason he built a 62k seater stadium was to increase Matchday revenue. If everyone boycotted the club concessions it definitely would hurt him as that’s all he cares about

make up your mind anyway, a minute ago you stated that a boycott was cost local people their jobs. That would take more than “a few unsold sausage rolls”

But it's not going to happen, same as Old Trafford is always full regardless of some fans ranting on about the Glazers for years and years.

PS For all the anti Ashley talk at Newcastle they set the third highest average attendance in the 2nd tier of football when Ashley was there and Newcastle have not won anything since Noah, fans will go to support their team regardless of the owners..

If he really cared about concessions, he’d employ bar staff who weren’t always seemingly surprised at how busy it gets pre-match and at half-time. Staggeringly slow service

You’ve now moved the goalposts to attendance. I’ve already said you can’t expect fans not to buy tickets as for many that’s a life long tradition, a release from the daily grind (maybe not at the moment) and what being a supporter is all about. Hence I said I’ll boycott in stadium purchases.

I agree with you on this point. I also totally understand the argument of boycotting merchandise, food & drink etc but it no longer applies to the way it goes now for Levy & ENIC. At the old WHL it would’ve made a dent but not now, especially with all the tourists at the ground. The amount of additional events etc will more than make up for it in the summer as well.

Newcastle fans groups were urging boycotts that didn't happen, there were some small boycotts but it was a minority.
Your not going to stop an awful lot of people from buying a pint in the stadium , there will be just as many as usual before and after the game having a drink regardless of any Levy out protests.

I heard the scum had increased their ST prices for next season?

If that is indeed the case I reckon you could pretty much guarantee that Tottenham would have been looking to as well

The recent turmoil has put pay to that

So, here I am, aged 61, been going WHL since 1966, but never had a season ticket. Partly because I've been a shift worker, days & nights, since 1986 and couldn't justify an ST, originally due cost & availability, but later due simply so limited on how many games I could make.
I've been offered an ST now for past 3 seasons as I'm close to the top of the waiting list. Will happen again in a few weeks I'm sure.
However, I'm now not working shifts and am off every weekend.
I can afford an ST no problem now.
What will I do?
I have no desire to hand over money to the current mob running things. But I know if I don't, something will turn round and I will regret it. I still wouldn't go every game, but would certainly go more.
So torn........bet I'm not alone in this either.
You love Tottenham, do what your heart says!

Got to be off your head to be renewing currently
Unless you’ve got more money than sense!

Back in the day renewing your ST was nowhere near as costly so it took less thought

Following your club through thick & thin is one thing but giving a small fortune to Danny boy currently will be out of blind loyalty and emotional blackmail rather than any rational thinking (unless you’re minted, then it doesn’t really matter)

Yeah, why would anybody commit to supporting their team through the tough times. You should only buy a season ticket when times are good otherwise you’re mad.
Depends who’s having the tough times. Business wise Spurs are ticking over quite nicely and have no intention of doing anything differently as the cash is rolling in. How about they support us a little bit by giving us some value for money for what is a pretty hefty outlay for a lot of people in the current economic climate. Unless you think we’re getting value for money?

The Super League debacle proved they'd drop their fans in a heartbeat. That was the point when I didn't renew.

There’s nothing about this whole set up that makes me think we’re valued in any way. The next customer’s money is as good as ours. Maybe even better as they won’t have been worn down as much as us and would be willing to pump a bit of extra cash in.

Do I think we’re getting we’re getting value for money?

No, of course I don’t. I’ve never really felt like I’m getting value for money at Spurs.

But asking myself if I’m getting value for money from Tottenham is like asking if I‘m getting value for money from my family. I love them both unconditionally even though they drive me up the proverbial. Why would I suddenly choose to question their value? My love for them is implicit.

It’s not like anything has really changed for the 35 years I’ve supported this club. We’re still not challenging for honours and we’re still the priciest gig in town. But I’m still here week in, week out, even though I can’t really afford it.

“Sport is only fun if you take it too seriously“ said someone (probably).

So why now would I suddenly decide I’m not getting value for money? I’ve never got value for money. I’ve always paid over-the-odds for years and years of dreary shite punctuated by moments of wonderful madness and sheer delight. But it’s those moments that keep me coming back: the Hoddles, the Waddles, the Gasgoines, the Bales, the Kanes etc etc blah blah blah

So whilst we’re currently wallowing in the doldrums and it seems like the end of the world, we will bounce back…. because we always do…..

And we’ll all be back loving Spurs again until it all goes tits up again, until it all gets good again, until it all goes tits up again, until it all gets good again until all it goes tits up again…

Ok. Maybe not value for money. But at a time when we are paying top dollar, are we getting anything for our money?
