Why would it get undone. The number of subs has only moved one way since they started in the 60s.
I guess the thinking is that this is temporary because of the more congested season, if it's still in place next season then I would say it's here long-term.

Over powered them. They had no real answers. Several quality performances throughout the Spurs team..

Great being back today.

Very strong comeback after going 1-0 down.

4-1 and we weren’t really out of 2nd gear most the game.

Such quality depth on the bench is so unspurslike and so good to see

was outstanding, easily MOTM for me

3 pts and top of the league, happy days.

I noticed today none of the fucking about at the back today. Really helped us. I also remember some of the know nothings on here giving me sarcastic funnies when I said we should cut it out
Love it ?

I'm a 46 year old man and never gone for the player name on the shirt, it seems a little weird to me.

I'm getting Kulu on my new shirt tomorrow ASAP.

I don't want him back, but thought it was a lovely gesture from the fans when he was subbed off. (And nice that he acknowledged it, that can be awkward for visiting players)
I absolutely loved that gesture... .. we must celebrate our former players. Especially from our academy.

A typical opening game in many ways but you could see the value of Conte having a pre-season with the squad. There were some impressive individual performances but what shone thru most was the system. When we got going in patches we were like a well oiled machine. It’s impressive that we scored 4 goals and none them were by Kane or Son. Great teams win by the team working as a unit and not by relying on individuals to to win it for you. Early days but lots to be optimistic about.

It's been made as a permanent change in the laws of the game now and no longer just a temporary extension due to covid. It's not going to go anywhere.

So many Spurs fans being so rude to Royal / Sess pre season and pre game. So, so, shameful, I hope they are seeing the error of their ways.
Funny thing the human being, I followed the game on this thread and when they scored the tits came out chirping, 'no better than last year, no new signings playing, same old same old' then when we won quite comfortably the tits came out again chirping, 'we are going to win the league, chelsea are a walkover' Funny thing is the tit bird species probably have a far greater insight into our progress than half the tits on this site.
COYS we have a lot of potential but there are going to be many twist and turns over a very strange season when we need everyone to get behind this progressive team, then, what will be will be.
Happy days Bob

Oh and for the Davies and Dier hater who reckoned Davies was always slipping over, didn't noticed one slip by Davies, and a lovely goal by Dier. Both defended well also.

Great opening win. Lloris very little to do , defensively very strong, midfield excellent and kulu electric up front. If Kane and Son are going to misfire let it always happen on days when we win 4-1.
Poor opposition today, tougher tests to come, but you can only beat what's in front of you.

Sitting on train home from Victoria so finally able to get on here. Don't know how it came across on TV, but I thought we were in control for the majority of the game.

Also a question to those who have gone since covid and last season, has Metallica always been in the intro or is it a new thing for this season?

There is competition in the squad now and players are going to get pushed and have to bring the A game. As it should be in a club wanting to achieve things.

Good start looking confident - bring on Chelsea, one fixture we need to perform for once.

I think the midfield & wb’s gave them plenty of options which helped. We moved the ball quicker than most of the time last season too.
