Can't keep track with journo's. Is this one any good?
He was the one who originally broke the advanced negotiations for 60m,he may or may not have jumped the gun but I’d say he’s pretty reliable for this deal

Obviously his versatility is an asset but still think we need another forward option. I’m not sure Kane/Son/Kulu/Richarlison/Lucas is enough. People have said about Perisic as a deputy in the wide forward positions which I suppose works but I still fancy a creative option like Raphinha or someone in that mould
I think we are looking for another versatile player who could cover AM and RW, like Raphinha, Kamada or Paqueta (which Ally Gold has mentioned more than once). Also Lucas has stated he wants to stay here for next season, so we could end with 6 attackers, which is nice

update: tottenham on track to close deal later this week

the article content:

Tottenham rushes to close Richarlison's signing later this week. The negotiation with Everton is moving positively and should be carried out for approximately 60 million pounds (R$ 382 million).

Between the 25-year-old striker and the Spurs there is already a very well aligned agreement for a contract valid for five seasons (until June 2027).

In recent days, Chelsea decided to seek information and threatened to enter the race for the Brazilian. Despite the strong competition, the London club, in turn, remains confident in the success.

Manchester United's recent target, Richarlison has been in England football since 2017. Before defending the Toffees, where he arrived in 2018, the former player of Fluminense and América-MG represented Watford for two seasons.

One of my favourite things about this (potential) signing, is that the small handful of people apparently against it, who swear he's worth £40m but not £50m, are still floundering around for an explanation of why he's not worth the price tag, a month after we were linked.

The pros of Richarlison are numerous.

The cons are that he goes to ground too easily while playing for Everton, but not while playing for Brazil, who are a little bit better than Everton.

Still can't believe I was dead set against this link and now he's top of my wish list. Amazing what can happen when you actually embrace new information.

Bring it on.

The amount the Everton players throw themselves on the floor since Lampard joined tells me it is a managerial instruction to get them to do it and not a player one as they all do it. It isn't something that worries me. I'm not convinced he is the best finisher but throughout his career if we look at the players he has played with then none of them have been the quality of Kane and Son. He's got great strikers to learn from here.

I’ll be delighted with this despite having not been a big fan of him at Everton. Thought he was terrific at Watford and had gone off the boil before looking into his international record.

Since 2020 he’s scored 8 in 17 games for Brazil. Gabriel Jesus has scored 1 in 17 games in that same time. It’ll be a massive boost to the squad and our attacking options if we get him in.

He may even compete with ‘own goals’ to be our 3rd highest scorer next season…

Spend years not signing a long term solution up front. Get linked to a premier league proven centre forward who ticks all the right boxes. People complain its too expensive

Yep and as I said on the other page, he has scored in vital WC qualifying games against big teams. Jesus has scored once in 3 years, against S.Korea in a friendly lol. No doubt we are signing the better player.

Very promising. Seems like we've already got agreement on personal terms (or at least an outline) and that Chelsea have kicked the tyres but not much more. Fingers crossed we get it over the line.

I actually think his finishing is underrated, it's so much better than I ever gave him credit for.

Take a look at goals #1, #8 and #9 here. The composure and skill in tight spaces with no time to think is outstanding,

Not sure if Boehly would even have the know-how or time to hijack a deal when he's apparently single-handedly doing all of Chelsea's negotiating on a bunch of other deals. Especially when we have a tight relationship with Everton with Levy and Kenwright eating candle-lit fish suppers together.

Yeah seems they are deep in negotiations for multiple City players right now and the Richarlison deal is clearly one that needs to be resolved quickly.
