I’m not trying to wind anyone up. I’m getting abuse, and getting warnings when I bite back lol. My point still stands. All everyone is hearing is we’re now a big club!! Well my point is let’s show it! Losing players to Arsenal (may or may not yet, not better than kulu anyway. my opinions) not getting our cbs we want. Other 3 signings are quality. I love them all. I’m just not getting on the big club big thinking train yet.
I get you man, but the window is a marathon, not a sprint! Trust me, I get addicted to looking in here in the hope of some positive news but the window doesn’t really kickstart properly until 1st July anyway. Plenty of time until 1st September too, a whole 2 months to find some top class players who fancy playing in the Champions League!!!

Keep the faith and COYS!

In a world where we didn’t sign someone which I’d be shocked at we do have Perisic who can play there with Sessegnon coming in. It would be much less of a drop down in quality. We’ll sign someone though.

Agree on Perisic being much better than Lucas but ideally he can be our main LWB.

Are people worried over matteo morreto tweet ? If that’s the case I wouldn’t read in to it. next week we should get an answer, the club won’t go in for the player if they didn’t see it being successful arsenal are being very aggressive and will probably offer more in wages to tempt the agent to convince his player to go there but I’ve been told it’s about the complete package to stress we will ramp it up I’m sure we like him a lot. The forum needs to be patient as this happens with most deals it just not transparent all the time . When we went for Romero there was loads of competition same with bissouma it just doesn’t always get aired. Let’s just see how it plays out and of course if I hear more I’ll update WLBx

In all honesty when the season ended I wasn't hankering for Jesus or Raphinha (or Richarlison really). I've never watched either player and thought amazing, like I did with Bissouma. I bought into what was written on here and changed my thinking to they'd be great squad options.

I want Raphinha now for petty reasons, unrelated to actual football ability, but if he goes to them, fair play, but I still believe we'll be fine with whoever we sign.
This is where I'm at now as well. Honestly if you asked me, Raph or Rich, I'd probably pick pigeon man 7 or 8 times out of 10. But I'd much rather miss out on him and take Raph from the gooners than see him go there, especially with all the posts and photoshops on Twitter of their new look Brazilian front 3.

LOL at the state of this thread is all I can say.

People need to chill and get a life.. It's the weekend. Nothing happens during the weekend.

Seems like the children are up past their bedtime.

Raphina can sign for whoever he wants to and can go wherever he wants. It doesn't bother me one bit, as I'm sure there will be signings either way. Arsenal still wont be on our level either way.

I’ve a god damn given right as a spurs fan to have my reservations. I want to believe things have and will change. Not sure how I can roasted by an admin about having reservations. But like I said, this place has changed.
You have your right. Others have theirs to call it out. This place is full of positivity which is why your view currently sticks out. You can have your view. But it doesn’t get laminated and protected from critique.

Just in case anyone forgot..
4Tottenham Hotspur38225116940+2971
5Arsenal38223136148+1369

In other words, calm the fuck down! If they sign him they’ve blown a lot of money on a player that doesn’t solve any of their huge problems..

Don’t think Raphinha will solve their hhhuuggeee disciplinary issues either. If you need another reminder..

Tottenham 3-0 Arsenal (Holding red card)

Champions League attracts proper players with proper ambition (see Perisic & Bissouma). I’m quite confident there are more ambitious footballers in Europe that will strengthen us further.

Take it easy folks, and don’t make us look like losers (1 more reminder, Arsenal are losers - they finished 5th!)
Thanks for posting this.

I think a lot of people, mostly Gooners, are forgetting that whilst they finished 2 points behind us, Conte didn't even half a full season with us and had he done so, we'd likely have finished 10 points ahead of them.

Top 4 talk wouldn't have even been in discussion.

Basically, they are playing catch up. Not only that but they have to find an attack that is up there with the best in the league (ours, City. Pool) and now they have to get a midfield that can match ours after we signed Bissouma.

Isn’t this the same guy that said we were bidding 90 mil for Lautaro a week ago?

Weirdly I actually think Richarlison would be better for them than Raphinha. They don't have anyone with his physicality or competitiveness up there. Those brief links to Scamacca worried me more too.

My main issue with Raphinha is more because I'd love him here. He's far from the missing piece of their puzzle.

If we did sign Raphinha we could inadvertently push them towards a better suited player. That said no one they sign could be better than Kane or Son.

Plus, their defence consists of a load of little self assured kids without any discipline all pointing at each other.
