So, us and Arsenal are rumored to be battling it out for three Brazilians in the PL currently. Raphinha, Jesus and Richarilison.

I'm not entirely sure who I would prefer. They are all great individually however I think for what our team needs, Richarlison fits the bill as he can play across the front 3 and has played a considerable amount of time up top on his own.

That being said, if we signed any of those three I'd be happy.

Just like the ASM link, we need a wide attacker that can dribble.

If we lose both bergwin and moura this year, does it make sense to replace them with Richarlison AND Raphinha?

Then having a front 5 to choose from between:

Kane
Son
Kulu
Richarlison
Raphinha

that’s is elite options I believe.

Raphinha is an amazing player and I'd love him at Spurs. Would be great cover for both Kulu and Son, while also providing something a bit different.

That said, I'm not sure I can see him coming. He'd be very expensive (probably £55-60m), wouldn't be a guaranteed starter and couldn't cover Kane. We'd probably need to sign him AND a proper number 9 to give us the required depth that a player like Richarlison could provide on his own. Plus he seems to have his heart set on Barca, although I have no idea how the hell they'd afford him.

In terms of sheer talent I'd defo prefer him over Richarlison, though. Raphinha's such a great player to watch and a brilliant all-round footballer who would seriously strengthen our squad.

that is a Manchester City/Real Madrid level front line. Admittedly, below PSG.

I really doubt we spunk £100m on Charlison and Raphina combined though, mind, but that attack would be the elite of the elite.

Winks → Bissouma
Lo Celso → Eriksen
Ndombele → Lucas Paqueta
Lucas → Raphinha
Bergwijn → Richarlison

wet dream
I would argue that we’ve already replaced Ndombele with Bentancur. Also doubt we get Paqueta if we get Eriksen.

Honestly Richarlison fits what we need the best but Raphinha would make Arsenal melt down

Let's just take both Richarlison and Raphinha. Doesn't have to be either or.... With the possible outgoings it's not completely out of the question squad-wise or budget-wise.

Really wanted Raphinha back in January as I thought he was they key part missing in our front three.

But then we signed Kulusevski.

The problem is you would have 2 players who need to really operate in that role so I can't see this one and it's why Richarlison makes more sense.

It is but I don’t see how we could afford them. If we got 50m for berg and Moura somehow, then I guess it’s a 50m net spend, but it seems too much money given the amount of wholes we have.
But who knows, it would make for very good succession planning for son and Kane. dreams if it happens and shows a brand new spurs, but it would be too good to be true.

Guess we'll have to settle for signing a striker on top ?

Could definitely see us moving for a budget target man later in the window (a la Llorente) if we were to sign Raphinha.

I suspect it'll be the Richarlison deal with the ties to Base and Winks interest.

Leeds' Raphinha is a target for both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur this summer, amid concerns Barcelona will be unable to fund a deal for the forward, The Athletic understands.

Chelsea are also understood to hold an interest in the 25-year-old, although they are also working on a deal for Ousmane Dembele, who is poised to leave Barcelona on a free transfer.

Leeds are open to selling Raphinha providing the club’s valuation of the player is met.

He has been repeatedly linked with a move to Barcelona, but there are growing concerns over whether or not the La Liga side can fund a deal.

The Spanish side have debts of more than £1 billion and strict controls on their recruitment and expenditure.

That has opened the door to the Premier League’s north London rivals — who both hold an interest in the Brazil international.

Tottenham are also interested in Everton’s Richarlison, however, and it is understood Antonio Conte’s side will not sign both Brazilians this summer.

Tottenham's managing director of football Fabio Paratici is known to operate by lining up multiple targets to ensure that if one falls through, there is a back-up option.

Raphinha has enjoyed two fine seasons since moving to play for Leeds in the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa, scoring 17 goals in 65 top-flight appearances.

The Athletic reported earlier this month that Leeds are sympathetic to Raphinha’s ambition and do not intend to be unfair or obstructive if their valuation is met.

It is understood that Leeds no longer anticipate him accepting a new contract — something that appeared to be on the cards midway through the season — and although Raphinha has not directly asked for a transfer, it is no secret that he sees himself playing in European competition.

Tottenham have already been very active in the summer transfer market. They have completed the signings of Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic on free transfers, while The Athletic reported on Tuesday that they are also in talks to sign Djed Spence and have agreed a fee for Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma.

Arsenal have, meanwhile, added Marquinhos and goalkeeper Matt Turner to their squad ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

I’d love him but surely we can’t be THAT awesome in transfermarket after seemingly securing Bissouma (not counting chickens till I see him holding the shirt!).
