I think he shoves a piece of paper under his door. Bit like Mike Bassett.Surely we don't believe that Conte isn't in almost daily discussions with Paratici on ins and outs

It wouldn't surprise me if there are a couple that are already out of his plans. He was meant to have a meeting with Paratici a few weeks ago to go through his evaluation of the squad but they postponed it to give him more time. Ally Gold said they are to sit down soon to have that meeting. It might have already happened in the last few days. So it seems a bit up in the air. I think the players we haven't really seen at all will be the ones available, players like Rodon.
I agree to an extent but they haven’t really shifted any first teams players and replaced them is what I was getting at (bar Jota maybe).Liverpool have refreshed their squad recently ...
Minamino
Thiago
Jota
Tsimikas
Konate
Plus some young players bringing fresh energy ...
Harvey Elliot, Curtis Jones, Tyler Morton
Once you get a very effective first team squad that is winning trophies you don't want more than 2 or 3 new players each year - just enough to freshen it up. Jota's arrival revitalised their entire front line and they have real competition for places again.
We’ll, Thiago for Winaljdum was another first XI change. And Konate looks like being an upgrade on Matip. They also found proper backup / competition for Robertson. The changes Klopp has made have been very clever and kept everyone on top of their game. Mixture of experienced winners / world class players (like Thiago) with quality youth that has an affinity with the club.I agree to an extent but they haven’t really shifted any first teams players and replaced them is what I was getting at (bar Jota maybe).
Thought last season was a little taster of them dropping off but that literally seems to be because of VVD being injured.
I have no hatred or dislike Nuno but he was a really crap manager for us. He didn't deal with any situation at all and the quality of football was appalling.
Conte took on the same mess and has so much better it's unreal.
I think it's also quite a damning indictment of the players that they put in minimal effort under Nuno and seemingly had a collective sulk, but are now topping the stats under Conte. They seemed determined to prove that Nuno was no good by collectively shooting themselves in the foot.
This is a bit unfair tbh. We were tired and clearly under huge pressure when he came on. I’m not saying he showered himself in glory on anything but let’s be fair in our criticism.Think NDombele is the only certainty to be up for sale but I cant see anyone offering more than about half what we paid for him. He came on vs West Ham and the first thing he did was give away a needless FK, and the second thing he did was lose possession by trying to be too flashy. The third thing he did was jog slowly back after losing possession. It looked to me like he hasn't bought in at all and would be happy taking the easy option of going to another league.
Rodon probably on his way but we won't get much for him.
Although I think we would probably like to improve on Winks and Dele and wouldnt be averse in a decent offer came in for either, we need to be wary of our HG requirements if we have hopes of being in the CL next season. They would need to be replaced with other english club homegrowns. Wniks to Newcastle and get Ward Prowse would be great business imo.

And yet it was Paratici’s choice, Levy had not wanted Nuno who was available for months before. He had delegated football decisions at that point to Paratici.Completely this. And it was obvious to just about everyone before, during and after his tenure with us. I’d say employing him over Conte or some of the other candidates in the game at the time was probably one of Levy’s most spectacular fuck ups; yes, it’s brilliant we’ve got Conte now but employing Nuno in the first place is a great example of the worst elements of Levy’s decision making; namely to take the easier, cheaper option when the evidence clearly suggests otherwise
Agree mate if Dele and Winks are considered to have 'turned it around' and not available for transfer, then we would end up having a roster of 500 players.I think people are jumping the gun a bit when they say Winks and Alli have turned it around. It was one game.
You can say Dier has turned it around who has been one of our best players this season even if he does still make a terrible mistake occasionally, but I’d be very surprised if Winks and Alli are not available for transfer.
Players need to leave to allow Conte to bring in reinforcements, if you look through the squad, the only obvious leavers are Rodon, Doherty, Winks, Alli and maybe Berg.
Everyone else seems to be getting a decent amount of minutes and Conte counts as back ups. In the summer it will be a different story and we may see the likes of Sanchez move on.
Tanganga looks to be a Davies back up at the moment, Sanchez is Romero’s.
Winks and Alli are obviously back ups at the moment but I think if Conte can bring in say a Kessie and another CM and a Vlahovic, then they will be surplus to requirements, possibly Berg will be too.
No way does Conte think this squad is good enough.
So you get rid of two creative midfielders for two hard working ones?LCB Lenglet...Rodon
CM Kessie....Lo Celso
CM Brozovic...Ndombele
RWB Traore...Doherty
CF Vlahovic...Bergwijn
Literally. I still want them both gone, winks is simply not good enough and it will not change and alli too.Agree mate if Dele and Winks are considered to have 'turned it around' and not available for transfer, then we would end up having a roster of 500 players.
I agree. For all his talent I haven’t been impressed since he came in under conte. Clearly doesn’t care that much.Fair enough. I accept I am biased as I don't like his attitude. Though if anyone can turn him around it's Conte. I'd actually like him given a chance again today. I want him to prove me wrong in more than 1 in 15 games.
Not completely. He refused to green light the Traore purchase. He’s definitely very much involved in decision making, irrespective of what noises we hear, and any decent leader of a club should have seen the bright red flags hanging full mast around Nuno and refused to hire him, and that’s even without the benefit of hindsight. Don’t get me wrong, Paratici should have known better too, but if Levy was prepared to intervene with the buying of a player, he should also have vetoed Nuno. It could be a very costly decision if we don’t get Champions League this yearAnd yet it was Paratici’s choice, Levy had not wanted Nuno who was available for months before. The importance is to keep the core largely the same.Liverpool have refreshed their squad recently ...

I fully agree about Nuno, looking back it was a horrible decision to hire him, and if Levy wasn't involved in that he should've been. Not completely. He refused to green light the Traore purchase.
